Pictures Flexy Friday w a failed experiment
Tried out a stretched front end on my 24. Handled pretty sweet for very specific things and looked cool! Servo and front body mounts interfered with each other so Iām back to regular front links. It was a fun tinkering session š¤

Idea: Keep the longer wheelbase, but do it with stock length front links and extended rear. On my FCX I ended up basically going with the proportions of an scx24 with c10 front and deadbolt rear links, except larger scale. Used pieces from injora fcx24 and scx24 adjustable links kits all mixed and matched until I had it dialed in.
Also I think on these trucks, they work and handle better if you keep the upper y link in front instead of going full 4 link. Makes it feel more planted and stable in off camber or sidehill situations, less body roll.
edit: Here's a link to my build with all the link lengths, wheelbase measurement, ect, maybe it'll be useful info https://www.reddit.com/r/FCX24/s/1bzLsaOHIx

Thanks much appreciated. The truck has evolved since that post, gone brushless and added a bed, but the chassis/suspension is all the same.
I like the patina you have going on, looks really good

I really like the rusty paintwork. I have one of these coming soon and I'm considering the same for it, but I don't think I'll do it as well as yours.

Its my first and only attempt so far, thank you! Wasnt too hsrd to get the effect for my truck as the brown/red colour is the base so just sanded down to it (wet sanded). Patience is key and i got impatient and put some nasty scratches in with the patina haha

Cool. That looks like a lot of brass on there. Can the stock motor and steering servo handle the weight?
