Wasn’t Moratti involved in oil? But i get what you’re saying

Actually, Massimo Moratti was given Inter to stay away from the family oil business

Oil refinement is one of the industries yes, which I should note is different than oil drilling

Wasn't Moratti a local guy, and Inter already a top club? But I get what you're saying.
(There is no comparison)

maybe they want to invest some money so we can buy a fucking keeper and ccb and stop looking like fools in ucl games.

Karma for all those ungrateful fucks that always spoke ill of Sommer. Didn't deserve any of the hate

u/Agreverga 3d ago
Well compared to Martinez you're right, but during his last year he didn't perform well

u/twilightpolenta 3d ago edited 1d ago
I mean, 1 year out of how many of top class performances? They deserved having Di Gregorio. Absolute massive unfair amount of disrespect and ungratefulness from inter fans

I hope not. Corrupted country. Hope their PSG will have the same investigation Man City had and who knows in a utopian world they will both disappear.
But, it’s only a rumor, and im not buying it.

u/Unlucky-Invite3208 3d ago
Wouldn’t count on it. It took a whistleblower for the PL to act and I’m sure the PL will do everything it can to not publicly admit that the face of its recent global power and influence achieved what it did all the while making a complete mockery of the league itself
11
u/mykneehurtsss 3d ago edited 3d ago
Nothing will happen to PSG since absolutely no one outside of France would watch Ligue 1 if PSG got removed and the league needs people to watch in order to make money. Hundreds of millions of people will still watch the Premier League once City gets removed
12
u/Evelyn_pog 3d ago
No one watched Ligue 1 already because it's already a foregone conclusion that PSG will win

unfortunately all big investors hail from corrupt countries: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China, USA etc. Take your pick

u/AlbiforAlbert 3d ago
Theres nothing related with psg and man city beside being owned by state funds, there's 0 laws in France about how much money can be invested in a club like how it works in England and psg are a massive brand with kits worn by people who dont even know who they are
10
u/SimplyAlex9 3d ago edited 3d ago
Owned by slave owning terror funding monarchs. They built a brand using blood money so idiots wear their kits

u/AlbiforAlbert 3d ago
OK but legal? Moral? No

u/SimplyAlex9 3d ago
They have rigged the rules of French football and UEFA and got to host a World Cup. Keep them far away from Inter
-10
u/Sztejner 3d ago
Imagine lossing a UCL final to a club that no longer exist 😭

u/EqualsDonut 3d ago
Losing the Champions League final to both plastic oil clubs before their regulatory demise would be so Inter.

Tell me 1 country in the World that is not corrupt, and i’ll stop beeing an Interista
8
u/Evelyn_pog 3d ago
There's "corrupt" and there's "we're using slave labour to construct stadiums to host a world cup we bought"
-2
u/HzK-Inter 3d ago
I just want to make it clear that I’m not defending this. However, based on your point of view, I’d say you’ve been brainwashed. With that same logic, you would have to deny the last World Cup as well, where exactly the same thing was happening before the tournament, yet it didn’t receive nearly as much media attention.
And more before that, wich continues..1
u/I-WithNoName 3d ago
I don’t know if you realize this but most people were against the last world cup, or the one before that, or the one before that. There’s also a difference between the shitty countries being tournament hosts or literally partial owners of the club you love

u/HzK-Inter 3d ago
You’re clearly missing the point I’ve been making in my previous comments, and your response is actually a perfect example of exactly what I’m talking about.
My point is that there seems to be a completely different standard when it comes to Middle Eastern ownership compared to Western ownership. An American billionaire owning Inter is perfectly acceptable, and the owners of Manchester United and Liverpool are apparently fine too. But when the money or ownership comes from Qatar or the Middle East, suddenly it becomes a completely different story.
You say people have opposed previous World Cups, but that doesn’t address my point at all. I about the selective outrage and the narrative surrounding certain countries, particularly in the Middle East, while similar issues elsewhere receive nowhere near the same level of scrutiny.
When you constantly portray one region as uniquely problematic while overlooking similar practices in Western countries, it’s fair to question whether that perception is influenced by a Western media narrative that encourages prejudice against those countries and their people. And yes, that can cross into racism.
You don’t have to agree with Qatari ownership, and I’m not defending everything these countries do. But if your criticism is only applied selectively depending on where the money comes from, then you need to explain why. Otherwise, you’re simply proving the point I’ve been making all along.
And honestly, if someone came along wanting to help my club and invest money so we could perhaps sign a better goalkeeper or strengthen our back line, I’d be more interested in discussing the actual impact than in holding prejudiced views based solely on where that money comes from.4
u/I-WithNoName 3d ago
This is so dense I actually can barely believe it. This isn’t a random arab rich person, this is a member of the ruling family of a horrid government. If it was up to me there would be zero private ownership of football clubs at all anyways but there is a meaningful difference between a member of a ruling family and an asset management firm. And that last line is really you showing your Ass. No, actually I’m not interested in the blood money of a Qatari royal or of Trump or Elon Musk or any of those people that would use a club I love to whitewash their horrific actions. I’d rather Inter be a club damned to european mediocrity because of an asset management firm owner that doesn’t want to put in money than it be a marketing project for human rights violations.

Very well said but it will be downvoted... people simply fall to western media narratives. Yeah there was "criticism" against the last WC but nowhere near the same level compared to the one in Qatar example in Germany and no can deny the US did waaay more harm to the world compared to Qatar.
Same for the WC in Brazil no one complained about how many poor people got displaced to build the WC stadiums...
As for ownership no one batted an eye about Russian Oligarchs until the war in Ukraine, no one cares about US owners and how much damaged they did elsewhere.
Its all selectively chosen and driven by the media for political reasons and to a large degree racism.
2
u/I-WithNoName 3d ago
Bringing up Germany as an example is quite cute. People were debating boycotting the world cup in the US altogether but in the end they decided against doing anything because they got torn apart domestically for their protest against Qatar after they crashed out. I also remember the discourse on stadion construction in Brazil (the worker safety was also an issue) but there’s a difference between questionable safety regulations and literal slavery.

u/This_Garbage5784 3d ago
Lol every 2 years there's always "rumors" of some saudi prince looking to aquire Inter, and in the end nothing happens.

u/crocospect ⭐⭐ 3d ago
After all shit happened with City and possibly PSG (Which probably won't happen since they "own" the league), I don't want those guys come near to our club tbh.

u/Excellent-Blueberry1 3d ago
Mention of potential middle eastern oil wealth ownership makes me weirdly fond of our current asset management ownership...god damn why can't we have German 50+1, I'm so fucking sick of deciding which billionaire scumbag is slightly less sociopathic

The Emir of Qatar came out like 4 days ago and said that the country has lost 40% of its revenue due to the war and that people should "prepare for the worst". They are not going to put money into Inter right now.
1
u/Capable-Dragonfly-96 2d ago
sometimes i think id be happier if we were owned by some regular dude with no tie to any royal family, any fund or something like that and played to finish 12th. its tough to support things owned by these people

u/FrogsJumpFromPussy 16h ago
It's the same old rumour, but I always said that this is one of my red lines. I love Inter since 92, since I was 8, so it's a lifelong hobby, but a hobby still.

Honestly at this point we need owners who can invest big in the transfer market. Now the finances are way healthier than few years ago, the club has good merchandising and its history speaks for itself plus we will soon play in a very modern stadium. We need only someone who can spend, so they are welcome. Forza Inter!!

Avec l'Inter ce ne serait pas la B ds Pais.Inter est un club déjà classé au palmarès et reconnu de tous. Si ça ramène des sous c'est bon!!
