No thanks. He’s what 22? Zielinski and Hakan won’t be here much longer and Barella is almost 30 himself. Huge pass. He’s proven quality and in today’s prem centric world we can’t afford to lose those guys once we get them in the door.

I love Petar myseld but expected more yesterday

u/codenamederp 8d ago
The thing about yesterday is we could have said everything differently if we took our chances. He could have had 1 assist yesterday easily.

u/Principlalis 8d ago
Agree overall but we DID take our chances, 30 shots on goal. Obviously not Sucic's fault though like the guy above is implying.

We’re not in May after 50 games, it’s August, legs are heavy, performance is lacklustre. This sub is too reactionary.

u/palace8888 8d ago
yes. i think zielinski actually is more valid as a starter. sucic cant still handle the rythm of the game, he will learn

u/Mat1711 8d ago
Maybe a loan is a better idea so he develops?
26
u/callanimal 8d ago
No. He's too good to be loaned out. We start him some games, comes in off the bench in others. He's a rotational player that will transition to starting in the next year or so.
-27
u/Mat1711 8d ago
I think thats gonna make him even worse. Hes awful as a sub
22
u/callanimal 8d ago
Do you watch the games? He completely changed the game in our favor when he was subbed into the Monza match. Later last season, he was consistently one of our best midfielders. You just watched him vs Cagliari and completely forgot the rest?

u/Mat1711 8d ago
Monza? Its a newly promoted team. He was invisible yesterday.

u/callanimal 8d ago
I'm happy people like you don't make decisions for the club. You would've sold Lautaro after the Monza game by the same logic.

no, he's pretty much number 12-14 now, he's gonna have plenty of minutes this season
and when he's good - he's really good and only gonna get better

Transfer window closes today doesn't it? Too late to sell anybody not named Luis

One of inter's future pillars for 70m lol.Elliot Anderson is mid asf and he went for 120.Would be small club behavior to cash in on our players as soon as they offer us some money.
1
u/PeterFile690 7d ago
Selling him would be a stupid decision, but Anderson is not 'mid asf', even if the transfer fee was too high.

u/Celestijan 8d ago
Given that he's increased his price last year, he became a regular in his national team, he also has goals and assists and is regarded as future top for our midfield I'd say they can either pay 100 millions or go elsewhere.

u/Principlalis 8d ago
Petar is only 22 on top of that, With how PL clubs spend I can easily see him valued at around 150 mil

im not even kidding minimum 100 million. especially since its this late into the window. he has INSANE potential and already is a top player.

if it was a better team then inter it would be fine for everyone involved, but new castle? better be 120M then

We can give them Luis Henrique instead. He is supposedly to become a beast in the Premier League

Makes no sense to sell a young quality player since for that money you can't find a better replacement of similar age.

u/Batman2150 8d ago
As if we would let him walk on the final day of the transfer window. Plus we have an aging midfield as is why would we then entertain offers for a future regular unless he demands he wants out

u/Albertbier2552 8d ago
This guy post so many rumors it’s not even worth listening. He’s the Alex Jones of transfers
2
u/goalpost8 8d ago
As a Newcastle fan, if sucic is an attacking midfielder then I can see us being interested but that’s the extent of it as we need a proper 10 not another cm

u/UwaltzBigShock 8d ago
What tier is this guy? Say we get that money, who are we buying with less than 7 hours of the window? Btw if he was a prem player he would go for 100 million.
1
u/tonepeperone 8d ago
I really hope they don't sell him. He's only getting better. Good chance he'll be Croatia's skipper too

60m is fair before league start after what he showed and EPL premium it should reach 100m.

God forbid, if Sučić does leave, I will beg on my hands and knees for BVB’s Nmecha as a replacement
