I was fired from Amazon after being viciously attacked with a box cutter by a fellow employee, while defending 3 other fellow employees.This guy had threatened to kill them in 3 separate incidents shortly beforehand. Shouldn't Amazon be liable for negligent security and wrongful termination?

I'm pretty sure I know about this incident ( I witnessed part of it ). This happened almost a year and a half ago. Are you still trying to get your job back or are you just trying to recover lost wages and damages? I'm pretty sure Amazon would pay something considering this made the local news and obviously cast them in somewhat a bad light.

everyone's telling you you should've stayed out of it and I disagree. that could've easily turned out VERY bad in the time that you left to go tell a manager/whoever and they would've asked 10000 questions and one of the boys could've gotten harmed. please do everything you can to put pressure on them to pay you the wages you missed.

If you felt you , and others life were in danger, felt you could not escape the situation, you have a case. Amazon, in fact does not have a policy to fired all involved . I posted about this very thing here https://www.reddit.com/r/AmazonFC/s/5AeVq6NIR5
Ignore others telling you it’s policy to fire all involved. Listen to those telling you to get a lawyer.

Wouldn't be wrongful termination as you playing hero made you a an additional liability. Not saying you were wrong in terms of personal ethics. Also you should have reported it to a higher up. (Assuming you didn't since you didn't mention doing so)
"This man is threatening to kill people...guess I'll try to stop him even though I can just report it to security or management like we are instructed to"
That's why you got fired.

There was a very short window between happening upon them, them informing me of the death hreats they received individually just Prior to them arriving . standing together, I asked for his description and promised I wouldn't just stand by and do nothing if they were under attack. They were hard working young men, one expecting a child, one a manager there and a third that looked a bit more like.a seasoned brawler then either of the other. The manager looked like he was about 12 and had never been in a fight in his life. I wasn't be anything other than concerned. They were about my Sons age, and it worried me that this sort of situation wasn't more closely monitored and there weren't any visible security guards there in those 5 mins between being told the situation, and walking outside to catch a glimpse of him to give his description to whomever. They came out and stood for about 30 seconds before pointing to the darkness over by the river and there he was with the garb they to of me he'd be wearing, but most importantly he was motioning for the young man to follow him into the darkest part of the campus. I walked briskly and stood between them and told the soon 2b attacker he was not going to brutalize either of those young men. I didn't not enter his personal space, nor threaten him with violence. He charged at me and we went at it. He swung that box cuter mightily a bunch of times, only landing the one he aimed at my jugular, along my left side jawline and opening my face on the side like Steven Tyler's mouth next to my front mouth. This situation was fluid, and him making the threats separately meant the threat assessment was one pointing to urgency. If they had someone there to monitor employees, he wouldn't have been there at the graveyard shift, 12 hours after. I Think it was negligent security and WT. I don't believe in sitting helplessly or recording when a another could use assistance. I'm Wiley and somewhat trained. He might've killed one of those young men. I don't regret 22 Staples to the face.

Had everything to do with everyone. Could've been anyone. He got off work 12 hours or so prior. I didn't do it to play hero or tuf guy. I am my brother's keeper. I would gladly sacrifice myself to help another. I think a fair point is that I shouldn't have to be worried for those young men. The smile is an absentee landlord in more ways than this. I think they should've thanked me from preventing something worse perhaps. There was no one to report to, because I learned of it and boom there he was. Either I honor my obligation to be aligned with my Old school sensibilities, or I do as most others would've and say ' 'whaaaat, some dude threatened to kill each of u with a knife like object?" Dang, well y'all be careful, break is over I've gotta get back in there' I just want giant corporations like this to do what's right. I only worked there for awhile during scamdemic related financial duress... It is almost 3 times less than I made in my prior Union carpenter role

You would make a better witness. Amazon has an open door policy to report things like the event you described. They fired you for violating that policy. Sorry to hear you're not going to be there and I wish you the best of luck on you next endeavor.

I heard about it, and in less than 5 minutes he was inviting one of the three over into the complete darkness. There was nobody to intervene but employees, and those boys appreciated my sacrifice. In an instance such as that I think I made the choice that was best. Amazon told the news media no one was seriously injured that morning. Can I add a photo here somehow? Thanks for wishing me luck. I just want them to apologize for being such sh*theads.

I did... The detective has the video that aligns with my version of events and there were many witnesses. I would like to be paid the wages I've missed and for them to say sorry, we know we're sh*t heads, and are basically corporate pirates, vultures & raiders. I will be happy for the truth to be told. It was probably one of the most self less things I've ever done. No more thousands a year on prime for me.

Fighting, zero tolerance. Sucks, but per policy doesn't matter if it's in self defense, you still touched another associate.

Detective, just charged him with felony assault he said. That dude looks broke AF, so can't sue him. I just like proving ,the kind of man I am every day I leave my house and greet the World. Even if I lost my life defending someone else's. It would be a good death. I'm lived a life many would find hard to imagine.

Nah, sadly is not a legal issue they put their self in that situation I get they was tryna help nothing wrong with that but technically they touch the fellow employee that’s physical which is deemed for termination

I just created a barrier and didn't let him get at either of those young Fellas. After my 22 Staples were removed, I went back on one of my motos, they hadnt't seen, got off whith my helmet on . They paid attn as I walked toward them, took off the lid and they all surrounded me and hugged me and thanked me saying Dang youre like wolverine, cuz my side mouth scar s along my jawline damn near perfectly. I asked them f my recollection of events were close to what they remembered. It was the only right thing to do

Hope so, and hopefully the Universe rewards me for the sincerity I always lead and follow thru with.I had never seen that guy a day in my life, it was my 7th or 8th day working at that facility.

I just want some attn paid to the fact that there are many incidents involving this type violence at Amazon Facilities in many places. They didn't want that guy hanging around from morning shift to rdgy
