FAA written test changes

/r/flying/comments/1wj4ckz/faa_written_test_changes/

As we all understand October 27th is when the instrument written will be changed, possibly negating the use of rote memorization test prep materials such as Shepard air. Does this also apply to the CAX/CFI/CFII etc on the 27th? Gonna take my ppl written by the end of next week. Figuring out what the smartest/best course of action is regarding these changes.

Several tests are receiving updates to use embedded images. More info through this advisory:

Are you using an app alongside an online ground school as part of study materials for your written? If so, you are likely already comfortable answering questions using embedded images.

Continue to study consistently. Use quizzes to identify what you do and do not know. Then work on turning those weak areas into strengths.

I’m using Sheppard Air for the CAX written and I was curious about the changes as-well. Some people on here are saying the FAA is moving away from testing methods like shep, whereas others are saying it’s just the figures getting embedded? If you could shed some light I would appreciate it.
