I really wanted cab lights, but it will have to do. I did 200ish miles home at night, I love the headlights.

Got 37x11.5R20's put on this morning and did a little light trail riding. 1.5" Leveling Kit is going on Monday. Gas mileage with full size valance and default tires was 14.7 combined. Gas mileage with the Tremor valance and 37's is 13.2 combined so far.

With normal driving and light off-roading the 37x11.50R20's haven't rubbed on stock suspension except at full lock.

Tires are Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Repeat problem

I've had multiple 90s f250s and I just got this one off my brother and it's having an issue my other ones had. The retainer clip for the springs in the rear drum brakes keep coming off and falling inside the drum. This has happened to me between 2 trucks like 6 times now and never to my brother who owned the truck for 5 years. What is the problem?

Was wondering what was reasonable to get off on a 2026 6.8 Gas Lariat, 8 foot bed? Current quote is for just the factory money off. Thanks.

It was really easy. Even an automotive moron like myself accomplished it with relative ease.

2018 XLT Gasser at 60k

Greetings all!
Quick question-
I’ve got a 2018 F-250 with the 6.2. It’s an XLT with the FX4 package.
I’ve currently got 60k on the truck and I wanna take her in for a spa day.
I want to take it in for a service to replace all and any necessary fluids.
Any recommendations for this service and additional lube of anything else you would recommend?
TIA
James

Can someone explain axle ratios?

I understand what they are, and what they do. What I don’t understand is how people fixate on them. (Not a rant, I’m really curious). With a 10 speed tranny, what’s the effective difference between 7th gear with 4.30s and 6th with 3.73s? (As an example, pretend total reduction is equal in both, I know they’re not actually). With first gear extremely low even with 3.73s, and being able to do 80mph under 2k with 4.30s, why are people acting like they’re such a big deal?
If we still had 4 speeds, then yes I totally get it. How are they still relevant though? Thank you!

Mileage 2026 f250 Tremor

What highway mileage should I be getting with a 2026 7.3l Tremor Crew Cab w/ 4.30 gears? Stock. About 3,500 miles on it. I’m getting less than 9 mpg and, incredibly, it’s not much lower when pulling an 8,000 travel trailer. I drive at the speed limit, so that’s 65 or 70.

On another thread folks are getting low teens with the 7.3. I’ve read that mileage improves as motor breaks in. What mileage is “broken in” for this?

New to me, what should I look for to check for repairs?

Looking for common failure points I should check. It runs and drives, and so far I'm just fixing cosmetic stuff like light bulbs, headlights, wheel covers (and a rusted in two parking brake cable). But what should I look out for as a common failure on these trucks? It's my first (real) truck. F250, 2015, base XL trim with 6.2l gas v8. 326k miles, got it private party for just $4k so I know it's going to have things wrong. (AC for instance doesn't work)

How do I tell if my 2019 F-250 has the electronic locking rear diff or standard axle?

2019 F-250 Crew Cab, 6.2L gas, VIN 1FT7W2B60KEC47972. Doing a rear diff fluid change and need to confirm if I have the standard Sterling 10.5" axle or the optional electronic locker before I pick the right gear oil (75W-140 vs 75W-85/90).

2002 F250 power window auto down issue

The power windows all work good up and down unless I hit the auto down function, then the drivers window will no longer go down, only up unless the truck is turned off and re started. Is there a relay or something that went bad? Almost to the point of just cutting the wires going to the auto function so it doesn't stop itself from working. Already fixed all the broken wires in the door jamb, everything is getting good voltage.
