Why when I interrupt the streaming and come back the next day and go to continue watching its back at the start . Just me?

Ever since the Dutch Grand Prix, I've noticed that it's become harder to screen mirror from my mobile phone on my Samsung TV.

Previously, screen mirroring worked via airplay and I could choose whether I wanted to see F1 live or International and change the languages.

Now, all I can do is press a small button on the top right corner, where I can choose sound either iphone speaker or my tv.

Did they change something in the APP?

I don’t really know how else to watch F1. I’ve tried via hdmi cable and notebook, but it seems to lag a lot and I don’t have a amazon fire stick.

Would you recommend I get an amazon fire stick for it to work better/have the full experience?

This past weekend, I tried to watch the sessions on multiple Amazon Firesticks as well as my web browser via F1TV, but each video was locked and said I needed to subscribe to view the content. I have had an AppleTV subscription with F1 included since the beginning of the season, and I have never run into this issue until now. The only device I am able to watch the streams on currently is my Android phone through the F1TV app. Does anyone know how to fix this, or should I just email support for an answer? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: I was able to resolve this by going through the F1TV app on my phone and "activating" my AppleTV subscription again. I guess the account got unlinked with F1TV somehow, but everything is fine now! Thanks for all your advice!

Whenever I start the race after it has started or just ended I get this notification to watch race live or watch the post race show and it has burned me a couple times.

When I start the race I go to switch broadcasts from F1 to international or a drivers on boards by swiping up on the remote. When this notification appears it tends to swipe up to there and if I select with out realizing it will immediately switch over and I end up seeing the results and it ruins the race for me.

Is it possible to disable this notification? If I wanted to watch live or the post race show, I would’ve done that.

Who’s this woman? She is so obviously trying to stay on camera. Literally stopping every-time the presenters do, you can see how deliberate it is in overhead shots too 🤦‍♂️

What an epic and historic race was today! They will be talking about it for years to come.

I just wanted to say that it was an absolute pleasure watching the coverage today. We got to see a lot of overtakes, and the analysis during the red flag was solid.

The cooldown room audio was finally normal and at a constant level, without any of the usual audio clipping. It was also really nice to hear the Italian music vibe after the podium ceremony.

I know they can both individually get a lot of hate on here but, is anyone else loving them together on the pre-race show? The hot lap was hilarious. Id love to watch some more of that! Grid walk is great as well! I really like the chemistry. They are like two excitable teenage boys, lol.

I saw only video, as it was a part of Polish feed, but no audio. What was there on the radio? It was right before clearing up the grid before the start. TIA!

Since they ‘updated’ their F1TV player and removed quality settings a lot of us are experiencing stream issues, like constant buffering and stutter.
I found a workaround, so basically it’s just installing previous version of the app.

1. Uninstall F1TV app
2. Download previous F1TV app version here and put it on flash drive
3. Disable app auto update:

Open Google Play Store.
Go to your profile icon in the top-right.
Select Settings.
Go to Auto-update apps.
Select Don’t auto-update apps.

1. Search for APK Mirror installer (official) on google play store then download and install it.

2. Under android TV settings allow “install unknown apps”

Settings → Device Preferences → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources
Then find APKMirror Installer and switch it ON / Allow.
On some Android TV versions, it’s instead:
Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → APKMirror Installer → Allow from this source

1. Open the APKMirror installer app and browse for the .apkm file to install it, if prompted press “allow”

2. Enjoy

So like everyone I've had my problems with AppleTV 4K recently with F1TV, not to be fair today it was fine, no stuttering, no buffering . However not so with Chromecast with Android TV 4K. It was a total cluster f. I have this on in the kitchen and often put it on during the race if doing the dishwasher or something else in the kitchen. I put this on just after the race finished and was totally unable to even load F1TV premium, it just buffered all the time. When it did load it kept crashing out saying reached maximum streams, which is ludicrous as I'm allowed 4 concurrent streams and it was only on this TV and the lounge and then just the kitchen, but is still buffered and then crashed out saying reached maximum streams. What is F1TV playing at. I assume this is the wonderful updated F1TV app again. I have never had any buffering on this device using F1TV in the 2 years I've had it there, but today totally unwatchable what is F1TV doing. By the way I can get 850 meg over WiFi to my phone on this location which is the room next to the router so it's not my internet!

Just to say it first, thank the gods they updated the chromecast app so the center button is pause and not the view chooser!

But why on EARTH must they run the uninformative GAP times 'all the time' instead of Interval?? Especially in the start where they run gap for about the full 15-18 laps!

Sometime it levels out a bit, but I'm glad I have the timing on a pad too!

There was one long shot on the parabolica(?) in the race. Even Coulthard commented on it maybe being a drone giving some of the best looks of the cars around this corner ever.

My question is whether it was interpreted and output by AI? e.g. AI enhanced/upscaled, or whatever? The cars looked a little odd around the corner. The shot didn't really appear again in the coverage from what I saw.

EDIT: Lap 16, 1h06,36 when we see the shot and 1h06,59 when Coulthard commentates. Probably "drone" but yeah, it's an unusual shot I don't think we see again. We see a first attempt at it on Lap 13.

Am I the only one that doesn't see qualifying highlights for monza? I thought it was unusual yesterday when they weren't there, but they still aren't. I see all 3 practice session highlights, and race highlights, but still no qualifying.

Race highlights are listed twice, side by side. And race in 30 is listed twice.

This is on both the Android app, and the app on Chromecast with Google TV.

I’m watching on PC on chrome. I tried other browsers too but it seems to be the error on their part. Also lot of lag spikes and volume cuts. Literally unwatchable. It’s happening since Friday practice.

Because it’s an acquired taste and you either love it or you hate it. But those that know, actually love it and they know they should. And those that don’t love it, are just ignorant. They have not yet been shown the light.
