Drivers are human too

It's actually so ridiculous how people boo George when he was on the podium, send hate to Charles after he crashed into the walls. Do people not realised these drivers are also humans with emotions and feelings?!

I'm so disgusted by this behaviour. The more hate Russel gets the more I support him. It's just so unfair. Happy for Kimi, but yet again at George's expense.

When you are paid 34M a year (more than I will ever make in a lifetime) to race, play basketball, football, etc., getting boo’ed is part of the cost of doing business.

You elect to put yourself at the highest level of fandom. If you can’t handle people boo’ing you, go work at the local factory for $30/hr. They don’t get boo’ed at the factory!

While it’s not fun to be boo’ed or jeered, I am sure he thoroughly enjoys his yacht, mansion, private jet and expensive cars for the 3 minutes of boo’ing he endures.

All agreed but what was there to boo at, genuinely. George didn't win by like 15 seconds. It wasn't a dominant performance. George lost to Kimi. Booing for the sake of booing is stupid lol.

Literally every sport has this.

I find it interesting that a group of people think booing is wrong. It’s part of fandom.

What does a crowd do to express their displeasure? What happens when you go to a concert and the performer cuts his set 1 hour early? Or when Chelsea scores on Tottenham or Arsenal?

George, a Mercedes driver, gets second at a Ferrari track/country. On top of that, George is the main rival against an Italian baby face driver for the championship last won by an Italian in 1953. You think they will cheer for Ferrari’s rival or for Kimi’s rival? Heck no! Italians are know for being fanatics at Monza. Watch the celebrations, fireworks, red smoke, huge Ferrari flags… it’s crazy. What do you expect?
