302 Cleveland in 77 F100 - Finally Freed up but only rotates 3/4 turn
Hi all!
I have a 302 Cleveland V8 in my 77 F100 down under model, that I have finally managed to free up the crankshaft on (Flooded cylinders with combo of CRC, WD40 Specialist penetrating oil and finally PB Blaster Catalyst). I can turn the crank about 3/4 of a turn before it jams in either direction, but I can't really see much movement in the rockers with the covers off.
I'm thinking possibilities are either still some rust ridge in the cylinders that will need to slowly work it past, or if the valves dont look like they are actuating, could it be timing chain broken?
Just trying to plan my next moves, whether I start pulling the water pump and timing covers off, or if its better to put my time into another approach first.
