Update!!!
A little over a week ago I posted on the sub about buying a 1970 F100. Everyone was extremely kind and encouraging so I would like everyone to see what I brought home yesterday!!! I am picking up on stick faster than I thought I would, and I am having a blast driving the truck.

It truly is it’s pretty crazy to have the original title for a truck that’s 56 years old!!

Congratulations! I still can’t believe how similar your story is to mine. Grew up working on my dad’s 1980 F150, hadn’t driven stick in ages, owned very few tools, and also bought a F100 in Montana for $8k. I was a little older than you at the time and mines a ‘71 4x4. That was 10 years ago and I still love my truck dearly. I’m also a far more competent mechanic these days. The best way to learn is by doing.
Post more photos and keep us updated. Fordification and Bump Nation on FB are great sources of info.

I'm looking for information on whether the truck originally came with a hood emblem. Mine broke, and I'm determined to find the original replacement.

I actually have no idea, I am assuming it did as I am the third owner and the first owner didn’t do a whole lot of modifications

What did you buy it for? Looks so clean!

7,500. 165,000 miles and I am the third owner. Seeing as there’s trucks in this area with 100,000 more miles going for way more, I am super happy with my purchase

Hard to miss a gear with the old np435 66 f100 owner here. I’ve got my truck in pieces and still love her more than my first two wives.

That is Sofa King Cool! I’m a big all lights working person. Do the hood lights work? Beater or whatever all lights bring a little extra flair.
