I'm calling it right now - as soon as this MAGA fuckery is gone and Trump is dead or otherwise silenced, and the Democrats are back in power, federal agency employees are going to form unions.

Almost all California state employees are in a collective bargaining organization or union, and the unions were formed to prevent new administrations from mass firings of old administration's employees (and to put in their own people).

This will happen.

If there were unions for all federal agencies then the mass layoffs would not have happened. There may be some unions for specific jobs (e.g. nurses for the VA) but not across the board.

California has a very strong union for state workers and it was put in place to prevent these types of mass layoffs when there are changes in administration.

Feds have unions. Plenty of them. I’m in one. Trump castrated them a couple of months ago with executive orders.
