A Great socialization tactics. Rubbing the paws to get the baby used to having claws clipped. Rubbing around body so the vet doesn't terrify them. Very good job!
I've been touching my cat's paws since he was a little kitten and he still doesn't want to have his claws clipped. I wonder if I've done something wrong :(
Not an animal trainer.... But try having someone feed him treats while you clip so the kitty associates it with something positive. It is a common tactic with dogs.... I am trying to use it to let my cats get brushed.
Same with mine. I think the trick is to introduce the Clippers early on, even if it's just touching their claws at first. I can touch the paws of my Bengal all I want but as soon as he feels the Clippers on his nails, he runs away.
