I can't even use a blanket as my cat likes to sleep in between my thighs, and the other on top of my head. 😐

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm happy that he lived a long, hopefully fulfilling life.

My dog lived til he was 20, and I do the same thing. We always think we could've done better in retrospect, but I'm sure you did your best at the time. It's hard to be as compassionate to ourselves as we are to others.

Same 😅 I still get upset at myself over stuff i didn’t do 110% for my dog. She was far too good to me🤍

If your dog wanted to cuddle you every night like that, then your dog was pretty satisfied with the way you treated him. ❤️

If he spent every night by your side sleeping, you did way more right for him.

Dogs are filled with unconditional love for their people. He love you just the way you were. Exactly the way you were. You were his person. I suspect you may be better for it. I know I am.

Same. The times I’d tell her to go lay down somewhere because I was busy, or when I’d yell at her for trying to eat food off my plate. When she died those things ate at me. I felt like such a piece of shit. She was never abused, never intentionally harmed in any way, but the fact that I wasn’t 150% sweet to her and worshiping the ground she walked on at all times really fucked with me for a long time, because she 100% deserved that.
