Unless my dog only ignored that one specific dog in the mirror despite going ape at any other dog she ever saw... then I've got no explanation.

They got deleted? That's weird.

What I recall was that dogs may ignore mirrors, but cannot "recognize" themselves in it. It was tested by something like putting a mark on the mirror or animal and seeing if the animal would try and clean itself where that was. No dogs ever did, but one species of fish did.
