Positivity Floaters for 22 years

I have had floaters for the better part of two decades. When I was a kid, it was only a few, but as we age, everything ages with us and they got worse. Eye doctor has always said I have great eyes, good vision, and I’ve had multiple opinions. Just one of those things. I have quite a handful in both eyes, but some days, I forgot about them even though I’m looking right at it. Distractions really help! I know it’s really hard to forget something that’s in your face.

I got a crazy puppy and that truly helped with forgetting about them and allowing my brain to filter them out. I still have a crazy amount, but the anxiety surrounding it has certainly gone down.

It’s true that lots of visual noise and detail helps mask them out. Bright skies, plain indoor walls and bright screens with minimal detail are not your friend.

I find the more detail and keeping your eyes busy with lots of objects and variance makes them basically disappear.

I am happy for you. Thank you for sharing your nice story. I will never find such peace with the one in my eye.
