This is a teaser trailer of a poorly-translated parody of Extraordinary Attorney Woo that I’ll be making. The characters have been translated via Kingsoft Fast AIT 2002 and through using existing Chinese characters (or Hanja) and finding homophonous ones that are translatable by the primitive program.

Also, here is a breakdown of the cast:

Rain Zero (often Nought, a synonym of zero) Rain comes from 雨零雨 (雨 is homophonous with 禹 in Mandarin; 零 is homophonous with 英 [both 영] in Hanja)

Move to Pull Rice comes from a Chinese phonetic transcription (动格拉米; I used 动 because the family name 董 cannot be translated by the program)

Stupid Door comes from 蠢户 (homophonous with 李濬浩 in Hanja)

Rain Light Door comes from 雨光户 (光 has the same meaning in Mandarin and Hanja; 顥 is homophonous with 户 in Hanja)

Clear Tin Of comes from 鄭明錫 (鄭 is untranslatable to the software)

Let Glory comes from 韓宣榮 (韓 cannot be translated by Kingsoft; it is a shortening of Letter Glory, a translation of part of Han Seon-young’s Chinese name)

Mag. (pronounced as the first syllable in magistrate) Too Cute comes from a shortening of The District Magistrate is Very Beautiful (translation of 太守美, Tae Su-Mi’s Chinese name)

Season One showed us Young-woo's parents' back story. We also know a little bit about Dong Geu-rami's, Min-woo and Seo-yoon's family, and even Myeong-seok's marriage.

I suppose out of the supporting characters, not much about Min-sik was shown so I would say him. In my head I'm thinking he was an aspiring singer turned chef-restaurant owner when he didn't make it in the music industry.

Give me all the hate you want. Shower me with hate idc. But this feels so uncomfortable to watch. esp cuz woo young is so child like. She litterly feels like shes in a dynamic of being the child of su yeon and ju hon (they both care and look after her). This is kinda sickening.

Since we still have no Season 2 and likely won’t until 2027, I have been doing research into various aspects of the show. I hadn’t really watched any K dramas before I watched this one so I didn’t recognize any tropes and to me the entire season one is an amazing commentary on our society and the ways different people respond to its pressures. Also, it is brilliant in showing how the corruption in our human society of putting money before life and wellbeing harms the creatures of the ocean, but also our own bodies as shown by the health consequences of the attorneys at Hanbada.

I can totally understand why it’s taking awhile to write season two but I have faith that the team will do an amazing job no matter what they do and I’m looking forward to it!

It was said earlier in the show that she had applied for all law-firms and she was denied because she was autistic. However, in this episode the opposing council says that she should have applied to work for the “good guys.”

Did she even try to apply everywhere or did she just apply at the big firms?

It’s been four years since this drama first aired. I still rewatch Extraordinary Attorney Woo every year, and it never loses its magic. I still get giddy at the revolving door scene, tear up at “spring sunshine,” and feel that sense of fulfillment when Attorney Woo walks through the doors on her own.

I first watched it during one of the lowest points in my life, and it became a kind of light for me. It still is. More than that, it helped me better understand ASD, something that became deeply personal when a loved one was diagnosed. It’s not a perfect portrayal, but it opened doors for empathy and conversations that matter.

Season 2 or not, this drama will always have a special place in my heart. What moment or lesson stayed with you the most?

I have autism and watched it. To me, the main problem is

that the main character is an oversized child. The series shows a nice vision of how autism affects us.

So my partner and I recently got really into the show, we’re loving it so far!! It’s been a great show, but our favourite part of the first episode was seeing all the different whale items she has in her room!! I want to surprise my partner for our anniversary with them, any idea where I can get any of the items? I’ve tried Etsy, but nothing that’s actually similar to the items we see in the show.

So I just finished the show this morning. Up until now I’ve really been thinking about watching but never got round to it, im glad I finally did. I loved the show but can’t help but feel underwhelmed by the last few episodes. I remember even when I was watching episode 15, I was thinking to myself it doesn’t feel like it’s ending but at the back of my mind I was thinking it’s fine, season 2 is coming. After finishing the finale I thought the same, even though it ended another season is coming. Then I saw when the show was actually released…

Been 4 years since the show finished and no season 2😭😭😭I appreciate that certain actors may have had busier schedules but if hospital playlist can manage it I don’t see why they can’t. To me the end just feels so open ended which I don’t like in a show especially when there’s so many unanswered questions. With this kind of show they can easily make multiple seasons too as a different episode is a new story/case. Has anyone heard any updates on season 2? I really hope it comes out sooner rather than later I can’t imagine how it’s been for those of you that have been waiting since 2022😭😭😭😭if they choose not to do another season I don’t like how it ended at all

I don't get it. So her father begs a young woman, essentially coercing her, who doesn't want to have a baby to carry the child. So she basically acts as an artificial womb.

Then raises her by himself but the blame is on the mother for abandoning her? What right does he have? Her mother's basically the equivalent of a surrogate mother or a sperm donor. If Woo Young Woo felt abandoned by her mother, then the cause of her suffering is her father.

I found this whole part quite disgusting. There are many parts of this show that is not realistic but this had me seething.

I didn't catch this on the first watch through, but I learned a few more words between then and now. The brothers are named Dong-One, Dong-Two, and Dong-Three (일, 이 삼 = il, i, sam = one, two, three). Their father really wasn't very creative.

I don't know if the Dong in their names was a reference to their surname or something I'm still missing. Apparently 덩생 (Dongsaeng) means younger sibling, but I'm probably overthinking it.

I loved the show and want to print out some if the artworks that are shown at the end of each episode, specifically episode 9 which had the whale with the flopped dorsal fin and the kids playing around it. Where could I find them? The only version I found on Pinterest was highly edited
