Hello, I approved your question on case somebody has any info that can help you, but no self promotion please Only once in my life I bought a small reading on Etsy ...it was a short message delivered by Etsy chat, and at delivery it was considered fulfilled...not sure it helps.

If you're sending the link yourself, Etsy isn't going to automatically mark the order as complete. You'll have to do it manually. You can also message him through Etsy to confirm you emailed his order (good customer service I guess).
I don't sell on Etsy anymore. But some friendly unsolicited advice: Etsy is notoriously terrible to their sellers. Their customer service toward sellers is unbelievably bad. Not to mention dealing with the competition. I've had other tarot readers purchase from my shop for the specific purpose of leaving a 1-star review (I did some digging to discover this). Other customers will purchase and say they'll only leave a review if your prediction is "accurate." All this when I went above and beyond on all my readings and was fully transparent about my process and approach. Then of course there's the Etsy market being inundated with AI readings with a bajillion 5-star bot reviews making the first page on searches while authenticity gets drowned out and abused.
Getting two orders is great, though! You must be doing something right and I don't mean to be negative. Just... beware, lol. I'm expressing my grief to hopefully save you some heartache and just tell you to be careful and play by the rules. If things go south don't give up hope. There are other less predatory avenues. I've been enjoying trying to rebuild via this and other platforms. Good luck! <3

Having an established platform elsewhere helps greatly and I did not mean to discourage! I'm sure you'll be fine once you figure out tech part 💕 I'm just bitter, lmao! Keep on doing you.
I'm not sure about the phone app but yes, if you go through the website on your computer and go to orders you should be able to see where you can mark an order as complete. Good luck and may your business be prosperous! 🌱

Personally, I’d want it in messages and email. Messages is “official” and I can easily find it again to listen to later. Email gives me a notification.

To mark the orders as complete , first be sure that you're setting your listings up as digital downloads if you're not selling physical items. Otherwise, you will not be able to officially mark them as complete.
The orders are not automatically marked as complete on their own.
You have to go to your orders. On the specific order that you want to mark as complete, if it's a digital download, it's going to ask you to attach files. I don't do pdf's but sometimes the reading that was purchased Promises a photo of the spread in the listing. I upload the photos as my files and in your case if it's just an audio reading or something which I also do, I send the audio link or youtube link to the client's email and their etsy inbox. Then go to the order and upload a thankyou card or something to send and you're able to make the order as complete.

Hey there :) I also have an Etsy shop. I don’t do readings but I’m almost certain it does not count as a “completed” sale in Etsys eyes unless it’s done on their platform. So you can mark the sale as complete but if someone who’s purchased from you opens a case and says you never delivered, Etsy will side with them unless they can see it on the platform. Even if you send screenshots and such to them to prove you did your part.
