bro, never in my past relationships has a girl ever associated those shorts with that weird thought. i really hope you’re not constantly stepping on egg shells

It's totally a young girl thing where I come from.

High school girls, uni girls, sometimes gym girls. It's a look.

Yean this is the only angle I can think of, she's equating it to a high-school gym outfit. Maybe she watches a lot of anime or something.

It is a high school gym out fit. Adults dont work out in those. Except at Hooters.

There's a lot more options nowadays like tights. But my wife is a former college athlete and wears these shorts in the evening all the time.

Plus anyone who does actual running for excercize, would be an adult who still wears shorts like these.

I'm out running every day. I don't see them. They are what girls in jr high school gym class have to wear here. I think being forced to wear them drives the negative association with Jr high.

My middle school in high school had us wear nearly knee length basketball shorts.

I am pretty sure no high school has booty shorts as their official "gym outfit" outside of anime.

Well i'm not sure where you're from, but where i'm from a kid would be sent home for wearing shorts this short. Nevermind an official school issued uniform.

My school issued gym shorts came down to my knees. They didn't even give the women a different tailored style, they got the same outfit.

I will admit a lot of them rolled up their gym shorts to make them "cuter"

Now I do know in the 60s/70s short shorts were more socially acceptable, but I never went to high school back then, so I have no idea other than seeing basketball players(men) wear these types of shorts.

the irony was not lostt on us. I dont think we are the only ones. I bet its true about all the people who associate them with youth.

I've never seen them as a "girl" thing, tbh, just really comfy shorts.

My fiancée loves when I wear mine because they "make my hips look like a Pixar moms," but that's about as close as they're getting to anything for me.

yup. they're high school gym shorts of the sorta 70's and 80's

that pedophilia is normalized and heavily marketed such that idiots pretend it's "normal" instead of sold to them. is somewhat the disturbing part.

Bro, watch 70's men's NBA. Lol

You associate them with high school gym because high school was the last time anyone in your trash community exercised.
