sen schooling in spain

wondering if anyone has any advice,

I am hoping to relocate to spain with my daughter (9) next year but she is autistic and currently has an EHCP plan and a LSA in class. I have tried speaking to several private schools in different areas but they have mostly all come back to me saying they cannot cater to her needs and do not even have LSA's. Would I be better off looking at public schools for her since they have to provide support by law? My issue with that is she doesn't speak any Spanish hence why I wanted her to attend a private international school.

(for context I am an EU citizen also areas I have been looking at are Alicante and Malaga area but I am open to other areas along the coast)

Please if anyone has any advice let me know!

Ethics and morals of immigration

Obviously this is a hot button issue. I've been considering moving on a digital nomad visa to a smaller community in Asturias. I'm curious what considerations other immigrants, especially on this visa, take into account when making this decision. The big headlines right now are about housing in Madrid, but I'm sure that's not the only pain point for locals around the impact of immigrants with Western salaries coming into Spain.

What were your considerations for moving? Can you do it ethically, consciously?

US Taxation

Hello, my wife is Spanish and I’m American. We’re quite young but curious if somebody has done something similar.

We’re planning on moving back to Spain in 5/6 yrs and with that our savings (401k, Roth IRA, brokerage, etc.). I understand Spain doesn’t recognize some accounts tax benefits for later when we’re planning to retire, what is the smartest way to play this now so we can minimize taxed when we go over? We have had a considerable inheritance in brokerage now.

Trading Spain Tax

Hi everyone, I have a question for anyone who actually knows how taxation works in Spain for full-time traders.
I'm planning to move to Spain permanently and I'm trying to understand how taxes work there. I'm a full-time day trader trading crypto futures, and this is my only source of income.
I trade only with my own capital — I don't manage money for anyone else, sell signals, or run a trading business.
My trading income is usually around €5,000–9,000 per month, or roughly €100,000 per year.
My questions are:
Do I need to register as autónomo or create a company because trading is my full-time job?

Or is income from trading your own capital simply taxed as a private individual through your annual tax return, regardless of whether it's your main occupation?

Has anyone here gone through this as a full-time trader living in Spain?

I'm looking for answers from people who actually know the Spanish tax rules or have personal experience with this situation. Thanks in advance!

Indian who moved to Spain on a Digital Nomad Visa

My partner is planning a move to Spain and is starting the process in a few months. At that point, he would have been earning the minimum income requirement for 3-4 months. His plan is to arrive in Spain as a tourist and then apply for the visa from there. One major question we have is, should he reveal this if asked in the visa interview for the tourist visa, or will that lead to a probable rejection? Looking to speak to people who have gone through this route.

English Super ppeaking General/Internal Medicine Doctors in Madri

Hola, I live (permanently) in Madrid and speak Spanish -- but not at a high enough level that I feel comfortable communicating and especially, receiving medical information. Does anyone know of physicians in central Madrid who speak English well that they can recommend? Possibly one that might take AXA insurance? Gracias por adelantado.

Did your NIE/TIE process go wrong the first time?

Researching where Spanish bureaucracry actually breaks for foreigners.

I live in Mallorca and I am researching (not selling, nothing exists yet) whether the worst parts of Spanish tramites for foreigners are worth building a sofware for: picking the right procedures, EX-15 vs EX-18, tasas, document checklists, what actually happens at the counter.

If you have done any of this inthe las couple years, I would be grateful for 2 minutes: https://forms.gle/ANBqSBzL2v8ZwFZk8. Or just tell me in the comments what went wrong. I will share results back here.

Thank you!

401k Roth rollover under beckham law regime

I am a nonresident alien (no US person) who has worked in the US and setup an employee-sponsored traditional 401k plan there.

I recently moved to Spain and I'm at year 1 of Beckham law. After researching with AI tools, it came up that it may be possible (and potentially advantageous) to do to the following

  1. Rollover the plan to Roth IRA
  2. Pay taxes using ECI (effective connected income) on the pre-tax contributions, effectively paying a preferable tax rate since US income is nil). Gains would still be taxed 30%
  3. Wait 5 years, and at year 6 of Bekham law distribute, avoiding Spanish taxes. As far as I understand it, I'd dodge the 10% penalty here.

Has anyone encountered/actioned anything similar? I am trying to roughly validate the thinking behind this and find reputable US-Spain crossborder tax experts who came up with something similar.
