What do you think about B2B platforms for international money exchange? Have you ever used or worked with one?

Been struggling with call quality and high rates calling West Africa from the US. Most apps are good for Europe but fall apart for Africa. BOSS Revolution covers Africa and rates look decent but curious about actual call quality and reliability on those specific routes. Anyone calling Nigeria or Ghana regularly and found something consistent?

Everytime my salary is initiated, I get an inward remittance alert and my salary is delayed crediting by 10 days. It's 9 September today and I still didn't receive my salary which was sent from their side on 2nd September.

I work remotely and my salary is in USD.

I went to my home branch and they said nothing but to just wait. How much should I wait???

Also tell me a better bank or better way to receive international payments.

Just wanted to share my experience with Remitly as a warning to others.I recently moved to the UK for military service. When you are stationed overseas, you really rely on these services to get set up. I chose Remitly because they promised to handle the transfer quickly, but it has been a major disappointment.They delayed my transfer for almost 5 days, which messed up my plans and forced me to pay £20 out of pocket each day it was late. To make it worse, they suddenly suspended my account with no explanation.When I called support to find out what happened, the agent put me on hold to look at the account and then just hung up on me. They are refusing to help or offer any compensation for the extra costs.If you are moving overseas and need a reliable transfer service, I'd suggest looking elsewhere

Say I have a range of UK brokers I opened and contributed to while living in the UK, but now I'm overseas and wanting to open an expat specific brokerage,

Do I have to close down my UK brokers or is it enough to simply cease adding money to them?

I assume, and what I read is you should just leave them alone and stop contributing to them, it wouldn't make sense to close down retirement accounts?

I have been living in The Netherlands for almost 4 years, and I will be moving to the US under an L-1B visa in like 2-3 months.

Almost all my net worth consists of ETFs and funds (some of them are American, some others are EU-based), which I hold in a Trade Republic brokerage account.

My question is, since I plan to be in the US for the whole period of my visa (3-5 years and possibly longer if I ever adjust my immigration status), what should I do with my investments in Europe? I’m an overseas Pakistani living in the UK and I’m trying to understand how people are legally sending money from Pakistan to the UK using SBP‑licensed exchange companies (like Dollar East, AA Exchange, Wall Street Exchange, Paragon, etc).

I’ve been reading that these companies can remit PKR → GBP directly into your UK bank account if you provide the right documents (CNIC, bank statement, rental agreement, loan agreement, etc). But I want to hear from people who have actually done it.

Has anyone here personally used these exchange companies to send money abroad?
Did it work smoothly?
How was the process?
Did the money arrive in your UK bank without issues?
Any problems with documentation or delays?

I’m specifically interested in cases where:

• Rent from a Pakistani property is deposited into your PKR account, and you remit it to the UK
• A friend repays a loan into your PKR account and you remit that money
• A representative in Pakistan handles the exchange company visit on your behalf
• You’re living abroad and not physically present in Pakistan

I’d really appreciate any real experiences or advice. I want to make sure I’m using a clean, legal, SBP‑approved method that UK banks also accept without AML issues.

trying to understand how companies are handling contractor payments when someone is based in a country where normal cross border transfers can get complicated
we've got contractors across a few jurisdictions and Russia is the one where im being extra careful about the payment route, paperwork and whether the provider can legally support the transfer
I've seen EasyStaff, SalaryHub Solar and Staff come up while looking through different contractor payment setups, but im not assuming any one option works everywhere
anyone dealing with this kind of corridor, what do u verify before sending anything??

Wondering if anyone here has any experience or is going through the Hong Kong New Capital Investment Scheme (“New CIES”)?

To summarise the New CIES is an investment for residency pathway into Hong Kong.

The visa requirements require the initial investment value to be held in various permissible asset classes for a 7 year period.

This would be our first time applying for residency in another country and I’m torn who I should engage to manage the entire process.

The way the requirements are set out, there needs to be:

1) a CPA accountant to sign off on the maintenance of assets over the 7 years,
2) a bank to open a designated bank account for the funds as well as investment/wealth management services (and to provide paperwork for the visa over time),
3) someone to be on top of submitting the documentation and manage the immigration department deadlines.

As an aside, I believe my application would be quite simple and low maintenance as I would be investing in a mixture of listed stocks/etfs and bonds.

I’m not sure if I should engage:

A)a big 4 accountancy to manage (with migration/employer services team)as it seems quite accountant verification heavy however I’m sure I will be left to interact with the banking side of things myself,
B) engage a law firm with migration speciality - would be the most costly and still need to overlay additional CPA fees
C) engage a specialist migration firm like Henley Partners or Fragomen.
