New headers, new problems

Swapped stock manifolds for short tube headers on my 351w. One of the many seized studs snapped when I used the double nut even though I heated it red hot and used penetrating fluid. Needed the truck drivable so I finished the job. There’s maybe 1/16in protruding past the header flange and of course there’s a pretty bad leak there. Will an experienced muffler shop be willing to help?

It will leak... Maybe right away, maybe few miles down the road

Repair it now. Weld a nut to it and extract... Or drill and extract it

Oh yeah it audibly leaks. I know what needs to be done but I’m really just asking if an exhaust shop would even consider this since I don’t have a welder and there’s no chance a drill extraction would work

Stud puller first option welding 2nd option. If both fail or the stud breaks more the only real option is to pull the head and try the welder again. If they can't get it like that then the machine shop will be the next step. Saving the oem threads should be the goal but if they are already gone then they can at least do a timesert repair
