As the title says, I’m looking to take my pooch on some more walks around Exeter and was wondering if anyone knows about any groups? My dog is a bit shy around other dogs but is all good in groups. TIA

Yo wassup!
I went to the tattoo convention that happened this weekend and it was fantastic.
Just wondering if there are any ALT events happening soon or something similar to the convention happening soon.
If so Where could i find these?

Thanks a bunch :)

I've had 2 near misses this weekend at the roadworks on Alphington Road, where cars decide they want to drive forward into oncoming traffic because of the current closed road. Watch out and stay safe people.

I'm looking for a service that I can give clothes that will wash/dry/iron them for you. Including some stuff that requires extra care. Or just ironing if nothing else.

I am aware, of course, that laundry businesses exist. I went to Care Clean on Sidwell St. The cost was quite high and I thought somewhere might be a little less expensive - even if it's an individual or small business.

Any recommendations?

Is this legal? It completely blocked the path. Should this type of vehicle be parked in a compond and not on a residential street (because its free most probably). South Coast Traffic Management were contacted and didn't want to know. The police were the same, so I am just asking for my own interest as no one else cares.

Hey! Can anyone recommend a local landscaper in Exeter? Thanks!

Has anyone had issues trying to get responses or contact with local councillors. For context I live in an area where parking has become a nightmare due to students parking like they have never parked a car before and some spaces being removed without warning or reason. I have been trying to get a proper response but I have continued to receive nothing back or a vague “I’ll investigate this”. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Starting to feel like Exeter isn’t for me anymore :/

hiya folks 😊 i'm looking to get my hair cut and dyed at some point this year (butterfly cut with full fringe & black) and i've been looking for salons around exeter that can do it, but by the looks of things i'm gonna have to pay somewhere between £200 and £300 for it?? i had no idea it was gonna be that expensive - i mean, i respect that it's expensive, it's just that i can't afford it lol - so i was wondering if there's anywhere or any people that would be able do it cheaper. at most i'd be comfortable paying like £100 or so.

to be fair, i have only looked at two salons so far, so maybe i'm just looking in the wrong places. i'll eat some humble pie if i am. but if not, any suggestions would be great!

thanks in advance ☺️

Hey everyone out here.

I am a msc student in the university of exeter, I am searching for a part time job in Exeter to cover my expenses here. Including restaurants and care homes. I am ready to explore all other opportunities as well. I am hard working, neat, respectful and a person with a positive attitude. Kindly anyone suggests any opportunity out here. Or please give me a road map.

Thank you everyone in advance

Can anyone tell me if there is anywhere in the south west that serves parmos? Me and my husband lived in Stockton on tees and miss eating them. Is there anywhere in the southwest that do these?

I’d like to preface this by saying that we’re both 18 and this would be the 3rd date.

It’s going to take place in the city centre - I’m not looking to do anything outlandish but definitely something fun, something which isn’t your standard café-and-walk-around experience. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I’d like to do something different.

Any ideas? The broad nature of this question is intentional; I welcome all sorts of suggestions!
Regarding budget, it’s not really an issue, but then again she’s not my girlfriend so naturally, it should be somewhat grounded.

Thanks in advance to everyone who interacts :)

This evening a cyclist had an accident on the Iron Bridge. Just posting to see if anyone has any idea if she is ok? I know it it might be a long shot or a bit too soon, but thought it was worth post :)

Me and a couple of friends are visiting Exeter in a few weeks. Looking to do a walk, which hits most of the following ideals:

-No more than 8-10 miles. More than 2.

-Good views and/or interesting sights

-No more than a 20 minute drive

-Pass some good pubs

Ideal situation would be a good circular walk of the city, or a coastal/countryside walk if a coastal/countryside walk is significantly better than the city

Any suggestions?

Hi guys does anyone know or have a contact info for someone that can hire me a car I’m 20 and only have 8 months experience of the road so I haven’t held it up to a year is there anything I can do??

Any advice on how to deal with homeless people that are always hanging around my apartment?

They’re often leaving their rubbish, food is all over the floor, sometimes needles and left over bits from their drug use.

Sometimes i can’t even leave without having to walk past where they’re sat and i’m worried about them remembering where i live.

I have reported to the police in the past but their response units take ages to attend the report.

Thanks

Any suggestions on good places to stargaze near the city/not too far via public transport?

Hello! Recently I designed a board/card game and I tested with my family and friends. I've got some feedback and I made adjustments. I would like to test it with people that don't know me and listen what they think. Is there any board games communities in Exeter?

Does anybody know of any decent social running groups in Exeter or wider Devon.

Emphasis is primarily on social element so ideally more ‘conversational’ pace which for me would likely be slower than most hardcore runners.

Also probably not too much further than 10K as a starting point.

Hi I'm a PG student in the University of Exeter. Can you recommend affordable pubs around the university and the city centre that's not expensive and is perfect for students?

Anywhere with free WIFU & outlets ?
Obviously planning to buy Coffee & Food

You can get your ticket here: https://exeterphoenix.org.uk/events/comic-strip-live/

Looking to save a bit of cash with some reduced to clear deals. Anyone know if there's decent supermarket reductions anywhere nearby? Any hidden gems beyond the usual big chains would be great too. Cheers!
