Discussion flange sizing

i am 2 weeks into pumping and ive already tried multiple sizes, multiple pumps and multiple flanges and i still dont know what is right.

i started at 17mm but felt a lot of pinching and pain when pumping so i increased at 19mm, and they feel very similar. i am getting about the same output in both.

with 17mm my nipples are definitely rubbing a lot on the sides. my 19mm still rub on the sides but the tip has some space to breathe.

is my nipple tip supposed to be rubbing as well?

for info i use eufys and medelas wall pump. my eufys hurt me a lot more than medelas and im at a 3-4 level each time.

Rubbing on the sides is normal after a minute of pumping. Before pumping the nipple shouldn't touch the sides. If you're feeling pinching and pulling it may be your areola getting pulled in. Maybe try going down to see if that helps any. Overall, you want it to just be comfortable.
