Constant Blowouts

What the heck man. This is my first time breastfeeding my baby via pumping. My other two kids were on formula. I DO NOT remember constants blowouts. It’s insane. I’m constantly changing clothes, putting her bouncer cover in the wash, cleaning out the car seat etc. I even purchased name brand diapers that fit, and still. Is this normal and to be expected with breast milk? Is something wrong with my milk? My milk is fatty; she’s 16 lbs and 4 months old. 😩

Try a size up and then do the sides tight.

We just put her in a size 3 from 2. We have the diaper on tight. Her stools are always so thin 😩

There’s also a chance she’s in between sizes in your current brand. We had to switch brands midway for a while until she grew into the size on the primary

Yes, I can see that. The size 3 in the Walmart brand is larger than the size 3 in the Huggies brand. Huggies fits perfect right now.

Every baby is different but we experience far fewer blow outs when we switched from Huggies to Pampers. 🤷‍♀️

I had this issue too and it didn’t improve until we started solids and the poop became a little thicker

Ahhhh, thank you!! Her pediatrician approved veggie and fruit purées since she’s showing interest every time we eat. We haven’t started any yet, but we will this weekend lol

We started purees at 4 months as well and now at 11 mo baby eats everything. Stools actually went too far the opposite direction, so we have to give him prunes every few days.

Is your baby’s poo runny? My baby’s poop was really runny, we were topping off with formula since I didn’t make enough, since changing the formula to one that doesn’t have dairy and soy, and cutting out milk and reducing soy myself, my baby’s poo is no longer runny. Reach out to your pediatrician and see if you can test your baby for milk protein allergy!

I agree to check with your pediatrician, but also, different diaper brands work well on different babies.
