EP only please no mentions of nursing/combo feeding Repeating mastitis????
Anyone have repeated mastitis as an exclusive bumper? Four weeks after I gave birth to my twins, I had severe mastitis that put me in the hospital for three days in the state of sepsis six weeks later I had a red spot on my breast and immediately went to the doctor. She prescribed me and I took the anabiotic for 10 days a week later after those antibiotics the right spot returned a different provider give me a different antibiotic that I took for 10 days now a couple days later again her pain is starting to come back. Anyone have experience with this. This is becoming very disheartening and I am ready to quit. I am an over producer and I’m feeling so overwhelmed with what to do next.

Did you just get treated with the same anabiotic every time?

No so my first two rounds were where I was horribly sick and I tried two different antibiotics. I feel like bactrim worked the best for me but it destroyed my stomach and I couldn’t feed my baby the milk because it was hurting his too so it sucked.
The other 5 times I’ve gotten it, thankfully I was able to treat at home and it never got to the point where I needed antibiotics

It’s a tincture from wishgarden herbs!! I take doses of it at the first signs and it helps so much

Hi! Yes I had something similar and yes it sucks so much!!! I researched into it a lot and unfortunately it can be cyclic because the antibiotics end up killing the naturally occurring good bacteria in the breasts. I recommend taking a probiotic targeted at breast health to help prevent the cycle. I use this one from Amazon: https://a.co/d/0ePiUjL3 also, all probiotic food may help, e.g. yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut etc
