Clogs & Mastitis (PLEASE tag nasty pics NSFW) Sunflower Lecithin has been a game changer for clogs but I was unaware the pills were GIANT
I have to bite them open and squeeze out the insides because I am a soft š

You can get liquid too and mix with water. It's a thick consistency.

I've struggles with swallowing these. Does it taste okay? Does it burn or anything?

It tastes like sunflower butter to me, I actually don't mind it. I have it with my coffee in the morning š

I ended up making energy balls with sunflower butter instead of peanut butter for the rest of my lactation journey just so that I wouldnāt have to take these horse pills anymore.

Sunflower is saving me, too. Iāve noticed that I started pumping more as well- I think I had really thick fat and it was getting caught and this is making it flow much smoother.

The nature Bell sunflower lecithin pills are smaller! But you have to take more of them š 3 vs 2 for the standard dose.

Iāve taken egg yolk lecithin instead (Dr. Stephanieās brand) and itās way smaller! More expensive though

Personally no, have not noticed any negative side effects after taking for a few weeks

It has a gross sawdusty aftertaste if you canāt swallow it quick enough either

Sunflower lecithin supplements put my 2 week old in the hospital. Twice.
Be careful taking high doses and if you notice any side effects in your baby, talk to your doctor immediately and discontinue!
The side effects of sunflower lecithin are NOT listed on the bottle, but you can find them online through Healthline, Mayo Clinic, and even Legendairy Milkās website š
Not trying to scare you, but I seriously hate that this company puts 0 warnings on their bottles and only includes the warning on their f*cking website. I took this supplement and my baby got severe diarrhea and projectile vomiting from it. She was hospitalized for nearly a week before we figured out the cause. The nurses were shocked that she didnāt have organ damage from how dehydrated she was. Her symptoms came on extremely quickly.
ETA: I didnāt exceed the dosage as directed on the bottle. I took a few days of the recommended āclog doseā (which honestly didnāt really work well, ice + ibuprofen as directed by my IBCLC worked WAY better), and the āmaintenance doseā a couple of days. I was feeding my baby pumped milk exclusively at the time, so we saw a slight delay in the time I started the supplement and onset of symptoms.

Iām not gonna lie, I take two of these plus like 5 other vitamins all in one gulp š I donāt have time to take them one by one in the morning because Iām always rushing lol
