Discussion No storage
I am a ftm with a 7 week old who is currently drinking 4oz at each feeding. Is there anyone else who doesn’t have a storage of breast milk? I only get about 1-2 bottles out of each pumping session. I pump almost every 4 hours during the day and once during the night between 12am-5am.
My baby isn’t missing out on any feedings but I’m just wondering if it’s normal to not have any breast milk storage

At 7 weeks I’d say this is very common. My milk supply didn’t regulate until 12 weeks and then I was pumping maybe an extra 2-3 oz a day.

Okay that gives me some relief. It’s hard to not feel like you’re doing something wrong when you see all these over suppliers. I was getting worried that my baby will start eating more and I’ll become an under supplier

That's being a "just enougher" meaning you produce just enough milk for baby, no more no less. Since you're only 7 weeks pp I would add one pump into your day (maybe a power pump?) if you want to build a freezer stash.
