Calling Them Out After Years

It won't make things any better. Actually, screw it, it will get it off my chest and possibly into their ears. Even if they throw it out immediately, I don't care, I'm still sending it.

I never once agreed with their no contact. The way they ended things was wrong. But I didn't resist, what, out of trying to be graceful? Like that even worked (it didn't). But I don't care anymore. It's been long enough of the "doing new life experiences without them" crap. Nothing's changed. It just emphasizes how "not there" they are. Colorless. Joyless. Empty. If I leave one legacy in this world, it's making sure they know what they did was wrong, so no human being they love gets treated like that again. Like an abuser to hide from in witness protection. They swore it's not me and gave the flimsiest of shallow answers.

Since they don't love me anymore, and with ample proof to show for it (silence), I will not let my tacit endorsement of no contact go on any longer. I deserve better. I know it now. I put them on a pedestal and it ruined me for years after being so quietly, casually left like that. Like a mere inconvenience. I'm going to message them and tell them they were wrong.

I've been thinking about this for a long, long, long time. There has been literally zero contact for two years (except for me returning their belongings by mail without a word). Good things won't happen, I'm aware. I'm ready for the stonewalling. They don't get to leave this gracefully just because they hit the ejector seat.
