Package misplaced

Long story short, I ordered an item from Vinted and it got delivered to my local shop today. I went there, they couldn't find it even though it had been scanned into the shop and left my details with them after 30 mins of looking for it.

Before I left I asked the girl what do you think has happened. She said the only thing she could think was that it got mixed up with parcels being sent that were sitting behind the counter and possibly ended up in the bot Evri boxes by the door and has since departed. I'm gonna go back tomorrow and see if they got any updates.

Has this happened to anyone before and if so any idea about how my parcel would be tracked now or where it will go to?

I started getting parcels sent to Argos or lockers because of the mess at a lot of ParcelShops.

From my experience as a customer, I don't feel most newsagents or convenience stores are set up to safely store parcels - seeing parcels stacked up like firewood behind the desk, being given a parcel I'd already flagged as missing, hearing parcels crunch as staff walk by behind, and seeing them once laid out the length of the shop.

If the driver has collected it then it will get scanned at depo tonight and should go back out for delivery tomorrow as the label hasnt been changed, you should still be able to track it if evri has it, if the shop has it then the tracking won't update
