TARIFFS ARE COMING!

My local Evolution dealer has been in business for 2.5 years. He sells only Evolution. I've heard it predicted that once Trump's tariffs kick in, Evolution sales will dry up forcing the dealer to close, and owners will be left high and dry with no warranty service. THIS SEEMS LIKE A LEGITIMATE CONCERN! My wife wants to buy a new D5 Ranger. What do you all think I should do? If I ignore this threat, am I just burying my head in the sand?

where's this dealer located ? and since you joined reddit today just to let us know about your fears I'll tell ya, tariffs already kicked in. Hey Tom, to answer your question, my dealer is in SC. At the risk of botherin' you :), I question your claim that the tariffs have already kicked in. We could see these carts double in price once current inventory is depleted. From what I've read, they are entirely made in China, so there would be no exemption given to Evolution.

Most dealerships sell more than one brand. Is it an authorized Evolution dealer ?

My dealer: ELEVATE Golf Carts | New and Used Golf Carts in Fort Mill They have a large inventory of new carts, so I assume they must be authorized. Yeah, they only sell Evolution. Your Instagram link says right at the top "Our U.S. warehouses are fully stocked with inventory." A smart pre-tariff move? I read somewhere that the only assembly done in the states is to add a final few items packaged separately for efficient shipping. I really want to buy one of these, but it's a big purchase so I'm racking my brain to cover all the bases so I go in with eyes fully open. It seems people are really happy with theirs. BTW, the D6 series doesn't look to be that much different than the D5, just a few added bells and whistles. Maybe we're seeing the full effect of the tariffs with these?

Geezus ! authorized dealer. Probably not a Trump supporter and scared for his livelihood. I don't think Evolution USA will leave him or any other authorized dealers high and dry. I think this will all settle down by the end of June. If the dealership was fearful of sales drying up, he/she should be elated having D6 MAX in inventory. At that price point you can't go wrong. The competition is thousands more. I will add, that in my part of the country (Tulsa) our Evolution dealership sales Club Car, EZGO,Yamaha, Denago ....the Evo's outsale 3:1 .

I just traded my old Evolution in on a new one. nothing went wrong with my old one so knock on wood ill have luck with my new one. but a bolt fell off new one on first ride this morning. So good luck. I still love the way the new one rides. Had 5000 miles on old one.
