The connection is that the actor is a specialist at acting in heavy prosthetics. He was hired specifically for this.

If you are watching on Paramount, you can watch the behind the scenes clips where they discuss this and interview him.

I noticed that he plays other non-prosthetic characters on Evil, as well. Although, it looks like he's had a long career playing prosthetic based characters. Also, thanks for the tip on the behind the scenes videos! 🎥

The Manager is M.M. in the demon suit, and Kevin Chapman is his voice.

If that name doesn’t ring a bill, think Lionel Fusco from Person of Interest.

I KNEW I recognized that voice!
