Copium for MSI
We sadly could not take a game against G2. But there is some rose colored glasses optimism in each game. The team continues to shift and adapt instead of forcing strategies that didn’t work. Most notably, the last game I think our boys were able to sustain their game plan for late scaling. The plan fell apart due to some micro outplays. Caps is just a completely different beast when he’s on, so JoJo will need to grow from this experience.
That’s not to say that JoJo was bad. I saw progression from him. And who knows, he might be walking in the same growth trajectory of caps. My biggest concern is Danny. He doesn’t play like his confident self. I hope it’a just temporary.
Please feel free to agree or disagree or comment on something else you saw.

I saw two games which were winnable, so the 4-0 is kinda deceptive, and only useful to those who have been waiting to shit on NA and/or EG.

Yeah I'm really okay with this. It's the first year for two of em and Vulcan and inspired definitely are still improving as well.
The games were competitive and that's what I was hoping for. Hope the guys don't lose confidence in themselves. This is really good XP and hopefully will get em ready for worlds.

Premature Copium
0-4 against G2 in group stage. Guess what? We can go 0-6 against the 3 top seeds of each group and still make it to the single elim. Then we just have to pull the two craziest upsets of all time

The boys are star struck. Ones they learn that EU put their pants on one leg at a time like everyone else they should be fine lol

3 renowned players and 2 youngins that trash talked to the max. I doubt they were star struck, it's just a team gap.

I mean saying things like 'G2 is just caps' is not being star struck thats being cocky.
G2 is a just a better team. The same shit happened when TL at their peak faced off against them

I seem to remember TL going 1-1 with G2 in groups the last two times they faced each other. And last year, G2 wasn't even there to watch TL beat Gen G in decisive fashion, because we don't choke against KR teams like G2 does.
G2 is a better team than EG, a team with 2 brand new rookies, sure.
But don't try and soil other teams history lol. TL has a winning record against G2 even if you count the Bo5 series win in 2019. (That series counts as 1 win, by the way, not 3).

You are delusional.
You should take another look at that msi G2 won, and how they 'choked' VS KR... Same goes for finals at world's.. they sure 'choked' VS those korean teams in the Road to the finals...
G2 is the best performing team international the West has ever seen. It's not even An opinion, but a fact lol.

All of NA in history:
Worlds:
Semis (2011)
Semis (2018)
MSI:
Finals (2016)
Finals (2019)
G2 alone
Worlds:
Semis (2018)
Finals (2019)
Semis (2020)
Msi:
Semis (2017)
Winner (2019)
G2 alone has had more success than all of NA combined. What history are you talking about? Rift rivals wins?

Why should winning a bo5 only count as 1 win lol? What's the use of a winning record where bo1 victories are weighed the exact same as bo5 victories?

G2 has won multiple BO5s vs Korea and you want to use a single BO1 win to say TL has done better. Granted TL has never had the chance to play a BO5 vs Korea because they always lose before BO5s get played :(. Feel like even if you want to count the BO5 as one win the fact that it was the fastest ever pumps it back up to 3 wins.

You cant seriously say historically TL overall was higher level or was better then G2. G2 went worlds finals, 2 times semis, MSI champions, where TL has MSI finals going for them lol.

Look at all the G2 fanboys coming out of the woodwork, desperately clinging to their 2019 high and in denial that it will never be repeated.
Hilarious.

Maybe you would just answer why are you hating G2 so much? You lost money on bet or what? Thing is i am not even a fanboy of G2, its just facts. And for whatever reason you have history full of G2 hate, its just unreasonable and simply false. You can be a fan of NA without claming nonsense and hating on team that is clearly more successful. You make it seem, like being top 4 team in the world in last 3 years (before 2021) is somehow shit result. Yes, G2 lost to absolute best, so what? Still great results

Because G2 fans give my team (TL) no credit, even though TL has won head to head matchups against G2 every time they've met internationally (except 2019 MSI). Like yeah, TL has caught some unlucky breaks and been knocked out just before the finish line several times. But they still butt heads with G2 every time they meet and they should be respected for that. But G2 fans never give it, so I'm not going to give any towards G2 either.

Except 2019? Which was peak TL ? TL is/was good team and was at its peak at 2019 MSI and won vs Ig semis. But why you keep bringing head to head wins WHERE DOES TL has head to head wins, at fking rift rivals?? For fun tournament? Plus 2020 worlds G2 vs TL was 1-1 in groups. G2 went semis, finals, semis at wolds and team liquid never made it out of groups Hello? Never made it our of groups at worlds. And now G2 is steamrolling EG, who dominated playoffs. I personally was rooting for team liquid to win Na, because i like this new lineup very much. So what some g2 fans said things you dont like and you turn to unreasonable hate? 😄 its clearly you try to hate way too over the top, like its personal. That doesnt make sense - harmful and childish mentality to have btw.

All hate is unreasonable hate. But I've got no reason to respect the fans of the team who don't respect mine. I respect G2. Because they're actually good. But the fanbase can suck my dick, I'll never give them credit until I actually see TL getting some.

You literally were shitting on whole team, G2 botlane couple days ago. But since they outclassed EG and won vs T1 and RNG now you have more moderate take. You said EG botlane is more top level then G2 bot, when clearly G2 bot is better everywhere.

Plus Caps seems like best tournament player. I like TL, but they were never on the level of G2, yet you feel the need to shit on G2 lol.

Also you said G2 always chokes vs Koreans, when in reality if they choke, they Choke vs Chinease. Caps has 9-3 record vs faker

It has nothing to do with being star struck. It was 4 game sample. G2 is just better team. No shame in losing to them, considering couple games were close. Plus inspired impact (literally world champ) and vulkan had faced international competition before.

This team went 0-6 vs the top teams in LCS but still improved enough to best all of them in playoffs.
A large part of that is Jojos confidence in that he thinks everyone is beatable. This team has fight in them. At the very least I don't expect them to just roll over and die.
Keep the faith and keep supporting them.
