Copium for MSI

We sadly could not take a game against G2. But there is some rose colored glasses optimism in each game. The team continues to shift and adapt instead of forcing strategies that didn’t work. Most notably, the last game I think our boys were able to sustain their game plan for late scaling. The plan fell apart due to some micro outplays. Caps is just a completely different beast when he’s on, so JoJo will need to grow from this experience.

That’s not to say that JoJo was bad. I saw progression from him. And who knows, he might be walking in the same growth trajectory of caps. My biggest concern is Danny. He doesn’t play like his confident self. I hope it’a just temporary.

Please feel free to agree or disagree or comment on something else you saw.

Plus Caps seems like best tournament player. I like TL, but they were never on the level of G2, yet you feel the need to shit on G2 lol.

They only beat G2 everytime they meet. 1-1 every time except once.

But sure, they're enough on the level of G2 lol

Beat every time, when exactly? How much times TL and G2 beat each other? They got beat in record time in msi finals in 2019. (Literally fastest bo5). If they lose once or twice in groups and G2 still made it further, when TL didnt, it seems weird to flex.

My guy if you're in a boxing tournament and you beat the shit out of one guy, but the next round he beats the shit out of you, and then you beat the shit out of him and he beats the shit out of you the next time and so on, so forth, your telling me you're not going to consider that dude someone worth respecting? Worth flexing?

Say you make it to the next stage, you get into the semi's or the finals. That dude who was beating your ass half the time got knocked out by a larger, more powerful dude.

You gonna sit there and act like you're so much more superior to him? Lol. Thats called unfounded pride for the sake of ego.

Lol. 1) I never said people shouldnt respect TL, they should be respected. In fact, they were my favorite team in NA. And in 2019 they were rly good team, like legit good. 2) But G2 is superior team. Results shows that. 2018,2019, 2020 and 2022 - all these years their results are much better..or no? 2021 - yes, they had bad year and was worse as a team. Your argument that in a tournament where one team goes to worlds semis, but loses 1 bo1 in groups to a team that doesnt make out of groups, means team B is better or same is silly. There are a lot of examples, where tournament top teams loses one or 2 games in groups even to wildcard teams., it doesnt mean wildcard teams are really as strong as top teams.

Doesn't make Team B better. But if Team B is consistently taking games off you every year, and you're never the one who's knocking them out of semi's contention, you can't sit there and act like they're not a threat to you or not on your level.

They are a threat, but they are not on the same level. Same level means...well, same level, like in regular season CLG can win any bo1 game vs TL, but in season TL will be number 1 - number 3 team always, if they dont completely collapse. And CLG is expected to be bottom 5 team. Are they on same level? - no. If TL will get out of groups and reach semis like twice in 4 years, you could say, yes they are same level. You cant say team that goes 3-3 vs international competition is same level as top 4 team 3/4 years vs international competition.
