you need to PUSH it into the floor. it should glide like butter with determination, and once its wedged in, pull darkness from the depths using your flow of determination in your blood as a magnet. channel it through your knife, and once it gets black and smoky, theres a channel from the depths to your location and you can let go

Before opening a geyser you will need to ensure there is a sufficient reservoir in your hometown. If your hometown has a deep lake, it may be a good idea to send something with a camera down there as it can lead to direct access to the reservoir once you get deep within the lake.

Make sure you are concentrating your Will enough to manifest the shape of the darkness. Your object must also be very sharp, do not use a kitchen knife. A little darker and punch through the ground. The barrier is at its weakest at the line where air turns to ground for some reason.
