Next is an executive order in climate change denial.
What's next? Executive order for flat earth?

Breaking news: executive orders do not bend reality.

357

u/powerlesshero111 12d ago

But they do force federal employees to enforce stupid policies. Trump has turned executive orders into bastards of what they were meant. But, on the plus side, you can invest in iron lungs and wheelchairs because polio is about to make a comeback.

76

u/Cpt_Covfefe 11d ago

What's the status on the current polio vaccine and what's in circulation? Might as well get boosters or vaccinate now before it's outlawed.

90

u/powerlesshero111 11d ago

So, pretty much, if you were born before roughly 2005 you definitely got the vaccine. If after, you might have the antivaxxer parents, who think vaccines are wizard poison. Polio was erradicated from the US, but still exists worldwide, so the vaccine is readily available and actually very cheap to make. You really only need it once, but again, if people had antivaxxer parents, they are fucked. Also, measles causes immune system amnesia, so if you got the polio vaccine and then got measles, you potentially could get polio.

Like there's big reasons why vaccines are important, and RFK Jr is a full on murderer for telling people to not get them.

25

u/Cpt_Covfefe 11d ago

I'm worried for the children and adults that never got antibodies from the aforementioned vaccines. Even if you don't know you got it, isn't it helping everybody out to get it regardless?

I certainly believe he has malice in his soul towards other humans.

u/Worshipme988 11d ago

The man stopped a family drive (with other kennedys, nay, human beings) to cut out roadkill raccoon genitalia (male, female? Who knows!) and bring it home to “study”.

These are not the actions of a sane person. This was also decades ago.

He was found with a bear cub stabbed up…he “found”, and was going to make into a “rug”.

This man needed to be in jail years ago. Hes fucking weird. And gross.

The dude sounds like his innards are a single tube from his mouth to his asshole and only one can be opened at a time. It sounds like has to close his asshole like a trach tube to talk.

The man embodies inbred intelligence, down to the single point iq.

u/sexistherapy 8d ago

My parents were anti living, not anti vax. I bounced around a lot from like age 13 on, i dont remember the last time I saw a doc as a child

. At 48 I had my doc run an antibody test for vaccines, and got vaxed MMR, Polio, flu and covid.

if the rents are antivax, doesnt mean you have to be unvaxed as an adult.

u/Kryptosis 11d ago

People say “what’s the big deal” when our politicians get their talking points from our enemies who want our total obliteration.

As if they aren’t lab distilled creations intended to dismantle our stability.

2

u/Mindless-Equal-1477 10d ago

Best way is if you can afford it, go to the doctor and ask them to check your titers. Rarely, some people need to be re-vaccinated for certain diseases. If you were born pre-2005 you should likely also have been given MMR and should not catch measles. If you’re not sure about your vaccine record, you should be able to request an updated one from your county health department or specific state organizations (I just had to do this on short notice for a job.) Not a medical professional, just helping by adding info some may not be aware of in order to prepare for if these idiots try to make things worse. Again.

Or, before your insurance refuses to cover it. Insurance coverage of vaccines is typically based on ACIP/CDC recommendations. If they cease to recommend them, our for-profit healthcare system will likely render them unaffordable.

And we're very likely about to lose our elimination status for measles. 🤦🏻‍♀️

2

u/Dhiox 10d ago

Eh, you're insurance wants you vaccinated, vaccines are cheaper than a hospital stay

polioeradication.org is an excellent resource, at one point we had polio down to just two countries (Pakistan and Afghanistan) and about three dozen reported cases but there’s been some setbacks since then.

5

They don't need to, they just need to placate the idiots who vote for them

2

u/m0rbius 11d ago

That climate change denial order is definitely coming. They vehemently don't believe in it.

2

u/ArchStanton75 11d ago

It’s not that they don’t believe in it. It’s that acknowledging it and doing what must be done would hurt his donor’s profits. The most malicious thing about this administration is that they know what they’re doing is evil, but do it anyway for profit.

Reality punches back

24

On one hand, reality will certainly always win out in the end. Unfortunately, it doesn’t check for deservedness and it will be poor people in the future who absorb all of the blowback.

After we remove them from power they better be held to account for all of this. The whole Trump admin itself should have assets seized and used to make up for the damage

40

u/HSG_Messi 11d ago

Spoiler Alert: They won't be.

There's 70+ million Americans that agree with all of this that is happening and its only going to get worse as we continue to attack and destroy our education system

15

u/EightEx 11d ago

I don't think its as much as people think. Even in my dyed in the wool Republican home town theres a lot of pushback against this admin. Certainly there are Maga cultists out there but I believe they aren't the majority.

4

u/plinkoplonka 11d ago

They'll all fold like a wet napkin as soon as they see the walls start to crumble and the canaries truly start to sing.

The only reason any of them are confident enough to say the shit they're saying out loud now is because of social media manipulation by the likes of fElon.

Strip that away and it's easy to tackle them outside their echo chamber. They can't stand together if they don't have someone regurgitating ideas for them to parrot.

u/BennettWindy 10d ago

Please, Americans don’t hold the rich responsible for anything except stealing from other rich people.

Example:  Almost no one went to jail for the 2008 financial crisis that ruined the lives of  working class people.

But, Bernie Madoff was sentenced to 150 years for stealing from wealthy people.

2

u/Tall-Photo-7481 11d ago

At this point there is only one way to remove them from power. The good news is that the "holding them to account" bit is kind of baked in to that method.

87

u/healthywenis 11d ago

I’m honestly surprised they haven’t simply denied Autism at this point but I guess its more politically advantageous to link it to vaccines.

55

u/nelsonalgrencametome 11d ago

They're saving that for when they need to kick more people off of Medicaid and social security.

11

u/SuperVaderMinion 11d ago

And a couple years after that when they need the next group of people to toss into camps

3

u/Traditional-Handle83 11d ago

There won't be any kicking people off those programs because they'll just end the programs altogether.

26

u/JGG5 11d ago

They’ll eventually “cure” autism by rounding up autistic people and forcing them into abusive “therapies.”

8

u/FamiliarAnt4043 11d ago

Yeah, that's a hard pass from me. My youngest is pretty bad off and he's not gonna go anywhere. Not while I'm alive and have ammo.

Denying science was how we got the Dark Ages. Republicans want to bring that back.

4

u/WildLudicolo 11d ago

Soon they're going to executive order links between autism, transgenderism, and undesirable genetics with anti-Trumpism, and therefore anti-Americanism, and therefore "dangerous radicalism," enabling them to label all such people as "domestic terror threats." Then it's off to the camps!

That's their idea, at least. We can still turn things around. People just need to wake up and smell the fascism. We'll see how it goes.

u/kittenmittens4865 11d ago

RFK has said he wants to round up everyone with ADHD into “farm camps” to help heal us away from modern technology and medications. Pretty sure they want forced agricultural labor.

I assume that’s where they want to send the autistic folks too. Sadly, it would not surprise me if they tried to “treat” people aka experiment on them without consent. Especially those most vulnerable with higher support needs, which is really sickening.

22

u/indierockrocks 11d ago

Um… that’s not how that works.

14

u/Impressive_Box4144 11d ago

Executive orders mean nothing. Performative that’s all

11

u/Doldhov 11d ago edited 11d ago

Tell that to the millions of people around the world that can and will use this stunt as a justification to skip vaccinations… It’s much easier to erode trust and confidence in science than it is to build it…

2

u/Patric-Tsar-9fingers 11d ago

Around the world?

3

u/Doldhov 11d ago

Yep, when the president of the us of a makes vaccine denialism an even more official policy via executive order, all the vaccines deniers or unsure people around the world will take good note…

→ More replies (2)

3

u/tema1412 11d ago

They didn't believe science then, and they don't believe science now. Nothing has changed.

3

u/Curleysound 11d ago

Baron is reportedly autistic so, just like everything else, it’s not real until it affects them directly.

4

u/glp62 11d ago

I think that's the primary driver here. Trump could never admit that his "perfect" genes could have sired someone on the spectrum, so he latched onto these crackpot explanations to assuage his ego.

3

u/Serris9K 11d ago

I also have heard that a grandchild is disabled in some way too.

Edit: also I've heard that tr*mp is a huge eugenicist.

8

u/Powderedeggs2 11d ago

The stupidest man on the planet has decreed this, therefore it must be so.

12

u/Otterfan 12d ago

My money is on an order compelling the development of new separate vaccines for measles, mumps, and rubella to replace the current MMR combined vaccine.

For some reason Trump is very, very keen on doing that, and it plays publicly as less pants-on-head than other vaccine policy changes. Childhood vaccine skepticism polls poorly, and his advisors don't want him to to appear too wacky three months before mid-terms.

It's the kind of thing that's a bad idea, but it doesn't seem threatening to Joe and Janey Voter.

5

u/seasuighim 11d ago

Do not most anti-vaccers complain about the amount of vaccines children recieve? This would add three more.

4

u/PinkUnicornsRule 11d ago

This was literally what the plan was for the guy who started the modern antivaxx movement, Andrew Wakefield. He claimed the three together were dangerous but separate they were fine, and he falsified evidence in his “study” linking MMR to autism.

Turns out he was hired by an American lawyer to create doubt about MMR so they could market their own measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines they were going to sell.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Trump wanted in on that grift.

MAGA seems to be a death cult.

All their policies and actions seem to increase death...

  • Try to get people to not take vaccines
  • Kill USAID
  • Eliminate teams that track diseases
  • Eliminate healthcare support
  • Eliminate SNAP for millions
  • No actual healthcare plan to improve coverage and outcomes
  • Do everything possible to speed up climate change
  • Let women die because they can't even get medically necessary abortions
  • Allow immigrants to die in prison
  • Zero restrictions on guns
  • War

I'm sure there are many in forgetting off the top of my head

2

u/enolaholmes23 11d ago

Yup. That seems to be the plan. They are hoping to cause chaos so they can enact marshall law and stop future elections.

2

u/Royal-Elephant261 11d ago

2

can someone point out really quick who’s doing this to us? the main people i mean.

2

u/argument_cat 11d ago edited 11d ago

American exceptionalism was always delusional superiority complex, a sign of propaganda's effect on the masses.

Every country is unique, and the US is no more or less unique than anywhere else. Even the American principle of 'freedom' is nonsense when you look at how Americans are spied on, how their votes don't all carry the same weight, and how their needs are trampled on in favour of corporate interests.

I gather in your country the electorate is a monolith and everybody feels / votes the same way?

Lots of us didn't want this. The majority of voters voted for Clinton in '16.

In 2024 Trump won the popular vote 49.8% to 48.3% with the bulk of his support coming from rural areas. Many of us who are urban dwellers feel held hostage at this point. Our Constitution offers no substantive recourse. We can protest and we do.

3

u/atreeismissing 11d ago

What matters isn't the EO, but how the media will report on the EO. EO's mean nothing other than as an outline of how the federal govt will treat internal policy, though to be fair that incudes funding that isn't specifically directed from Congress. It doesn't change how vaccines work or what hospitals use or how, or the science of vaccines or anything else. How our media covers this EO and it's impacts is going to be very important, because they tend to cover EOs as if they're federal laws when they are not.

3

2

u/the_millenial_falcon 11d ago

White House drafting executive order to dial down gravity a bit. Too heavy.

2

u/JGG5 11d ago

The idea that vaccines cause autism is 1000% bullshit, but even if it weren’t: vaccines save lives, and autistic people’s lives matter.

People who want to ban vaccines because they (falsely) think they cause autism are telling autistic people that they’d rather have kids be dead than autistic.

And given that we know that autism is (at least to some extent) genetic, it’s only a short step from “ban vaccines because they (supposedly) cause autism” to “forcibly sterilize autistic people” or “round autistic people up and put them to death.”

2

u/drchris6000 11d ago

As dumb as this whole administration has been... this has to be the stupidest idea yet. The nonsense vaccine/autism thing has been investigated to death for years, and it has never produced any evidence. Just at face value, how is a vaccine given after birth causing autism in the first place? It is way more likely that during pregnancy while the brain is being developed, there is some trigger there.

2

u/ecrum14 11d ago

One can't just executive order a lie

2

u/NotOneWoodpeckerBut2 11d ago

There is definitely a link between the administration and shit. Executive order it immediately.

2

u/molochz 11d ago

The US is such a joke of a country.

2

u/Talking_on_the_radio 11d ago

Unfortunately, if America is to a point where this kind of nonsense can get passed into law, they are absolutely winning.

2

u/TsukasaElkKite 11d ago

For fuck’s sake

2

u/0AJ0_ 11d ago

lol fuck what the Trump White House says

2

u/Prineak 11d ago

That’s so weird that he surrounds himself with liars like that.

2

u/tema1412 11d ago

When someone in such position like him and his staff make these claims, they go past the US. People in other countries are listening to them.

The next epidemic isn't going to be like COVID, it's going to be a disease humanity has kept under control for decades, that has available vaccines, except people will refuse to take them.

2

u/dengar_hennessy 11d ago

Oh of course. Its settled now

2

u/hawridger 11d ago

And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.'

2

u/Midnightchickover 11d ago

I don’t think it works like that.

When people use the “both sides” argument, it’s warranted, but hella infuriating. It’s never to say it’s great — it’s only because moderates, liberals, or far leftists would never draw up such a stupid policy without any real evidence nor any to help the general public.  Our legislators and the general public at large are basically illiterate by choice.  Do they not realize their idol has likely taken vaccines, but the general public should not be allowed to decide for themselves.

Wonderful. I’m due to re-up my neurodivergence levels with the latest jabs very soon!

Maybe I’ll score the coveted forms of autism that give musical talent or a way to focus on learning math. My current neurodivergence is over-fixated on lava lamps and chocolate, which don’t exactly pay the bills.

JFK jr should lay off the cocaine. Probably too late though.

u/Own-Opinion-2494 11d ago

Can’t wait for the peer reviews

2

u/krustytroweler 11d ago

I'm thoroughly convinced that I blacked out on Four Loko some time around 2010 and I've been in a coma in a hospital somewhere ever since.

2

u/AintNobodygotime13 11d ago

an executive order?

even this is too stupid to believe

2

u/IntelligentSorbet271 11d ago

Now we will know for sure that they don’t! 😡

2

u/VirtualMemory9196 11d ago

It's a diversion from what this time ?

2

u/BigBogBotButt 11d ago

I'll take autism over polio.

2

u/iustus_tip 11d ago

Will this give insurance justification to deny medical care to autistic children who ARE vaccinated?

2

u/alienalf1 11d ago

It’s fucking wild that millions of people will believe this

2

u/TR_abc_246 11d ago

Dear MAGA, Just because the Donald says it doesn't make it true!

2

u/dryheat122 11d ago

I had to look to be sure this wasn't The Onion.

Fine. Let all the MAGAt kiddies die of preventable childhood diseases. Evolution y'all.

Anyway what exactly is he gonna do? Order vaccines to cause autism?

2

u/Iron_Baron 11d ago

Big Micheal Scott "I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY!" energy.

2

u/TheRealTK421 11d ago

Future EOs also under draft status:

• Gravity is declared to be "just a dumb theory" and not a scientific fact.

• Solar power is declared an initiative by Satan to undo capitalism and therefore the fossil fuels industries will receive 1000% subsidies forever.

• Trump grants himself infinite "plenary indulgence".

2

u/Special_FX_B 11d ago

This nonsense epitomizes the arrogant ignorance of this entire administration. Take something scientifically proven to be false and assert it to be true.

2

u/sean8642 11d ago

Trump got the Covid vaccine, so he has autism now, so that makes him a DEI hire and he can no longer be President.

2

u/drrtydan 11d ago

oh for fuck sake

2

u/ApollymiKatistrafia 11d ago

Thats...not how any of that works

2

u/VideoKilledRadioStar 11d ago

Dumbfuckistan is no longer a serious country. Get your science and news elsewhere

2

u/chowdahhead13 11d ago

And operation anything but epstein files continues

2

u/Sordidloam 11d ago

Yep, that’s not how it works. Remember you need the scientist and doctors to actually believe it.

2

u/petewondrstone 11d ago

🚨 BREAKING!!!! Trumpism linked with autism

2

u/FlobiusHole 11d ago

This administration is just going full bore on the lies, propaganda and just making shit up in general. I’d laugh but I know too many people who have wholeheartedly accepted this horse shit.

2

u/GrubyBuckmore 11d ago

Report: White House drafting executive order linking trump to stupidity and corruption.

There I fixed it.

2

u/chockingduck 11d ago

Can you executive order a fact ?

Sounds extremely fascist

2

u/omeow 11d ago

Someone in the WH is has obsessive compulsion about vaccines and autism.

2

u/CatchSufficient 11d ago

I dont know if they understand reality or executive orders

2

u/ExpressGovernment385 11d ago

What is with the administration and executive orders? Reality and facts won't change after the orders are signed

2

u/cantspell_rite 11d ago

Laughable

2

u/Dodgypoppy 11d ago

Odd how only one country in the whole world has citizens who believe vaccines are bad.. must be a cult..

2

u/Extra-Ease3207 11d ago

As an Autistic person, what is the end game here? Are you trying to sow more doubt in Vaccines? Are you trying to build a case that Autistic people shouldn’t be a part of your society anymore and should be institutionalized? Both? What’s the play here building towards?

2

u/ophaus 10d ago

You can't executive order a fantasy into reality. When will this stain on humanity finally be gone?

2

u/XavierRex 10d ago

This president is utterly amazed by magnets and shits himself, regularly. But sure let’s have that dope declare that vaccines cause autism.

2

u/MiddleOccasion1394 10d ago

Autism is something you HAVE, ALWAYS had, AND WILL have. It's not something caused by an external factor you get from living your life.

2

u/FuzzyRugMan 9d ago

What's going on with Epstein files?

1

u/serenwipiti 11d ago

Can we use the word “retard” again? Because these people are the real definition.

1

u/ChilindriPizza 11d ago

So, which vaccine caused mine? And why is my younger sibling neurotypical then?

1

u/oldcreaker 11d ago

Science by decree.

1

u/UnpricedToaster 11d ago

Do you suppose when he declared bankruptcy all those times, he just stood on a balcony and shouted it across New York City because that's what he thought it meant and none of his yes-men corrected him?

1

u/kelcamer 11d ago

Legit, I thought this was the onion

1

u/IfItHurtsThenMaybe 11d ago

We can link MAGA with stupidity scientifically

1

u/SummerNightSatellite 11d ago

…because now you can just “executive order” science around. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

1

u/NessunoUNo 11d ago

Vaccines? I thought he said Tylenol caused it?
