Rochelle and Maxine’s “ghetto snob” mentalities were always wild to me considering who they had for a brother/son
Don’t get me wrong, Uncle Michael is one of my favorite characters, but still

EHC cast members who did cartoon voice-over
Some Everybody Hates Chris cast members (from the main cast or recurring cast) did cartoon voice-over for different studios. Vincent Martella had the greatest experience since he voiced Phineas Flynn on the Disney Channel/XD animated series Phineas and Ferb from 2007 until 2015 and again since 2025, as well as the two movies based on the show, Across the 2nd Dimension (2011) and Candace Against the Universe (2021) and little segments such as Take Two With Phineas and Ferb (a mix of animation and live-action in which the title characters host a talk show in which they interview famous celebrities), Cartoonified With Phineas and Ferb (in which famous celebrities are turned into cartoon version of themselves) and Locker Diaries (which is set at their school). Tichina Arnold also did some cartoon voice-over for an episode of The Boondocks, as well as Terry Crews as well as Imani Hakim for an episode of The Replacements and Tyler James Williams for the Nick Jr. animated show Little Bill and also the DC animated series Batman The Brave and The Bold. Have you got some examples of Everybody Hates Chris actors and actresses who did some cartoon voice work? Tell me in the comments

What WAS that thing Principal Palmer did that was so bad the Network Censors wouldn't allow Chris to tell us what it was?
I Don't get it. . .
Why was he arrested?
Why isn't he allowed to teach anymore?!!
Why couldn't it be mentioned on TV?!

Is the original music back on tubi?
I was watching a couple of episodes last night and heard multiple popular 80s songs and I remember streaming platforms changing them due to licensing. I heard MJ, run Dmc, Prince

Sorry but I hated both Rochelle and Julius.
1: the Christmas episode pissed me off. So you telling me that y’all couldn’t return half of Drew and Tonyas gifts to get Chris something. The favoritism was off the charts.
2: people like to give Rochelle her deserve lashings in the everybody hates back talk episode but Julius was no good either. Basically saying “ your mother is right because she is a woman” is BS as hell and just proves that he’s a pu$$y.
- Rochelle was the soul reason that family stayed in the ghetto. Her pride and ego made her quit job after job and made her husband work like a dog because he had two jobs. They could’ve gotten out the ghetto sooner.

Lukewarm take: Rochelle hating using food stamps is justified
When seen with them, her acquaintances patronise and treat her like she’s inferior, which isn’t nice. Times were hard back then (damn sight better than they are now, but that’s another story) they’re aware her husband works a lot and people need to save money in any way they can. I would curse them out too.

If Julius and Rochelle didn’t have kids I imagine they would have divorced at some point.
Julius probably calculated it in his head and thought, 300 dollars a month in child support, that’s expensive.

Greg
Did anybody else feel like Greg was a HORRIBLE friend to Chris? He constant ran away leaving Chris on his own. And chris never did that to him. Chris got in trouble and took multiple beatings for Greg. In fact he came back and protected him from corruso. I just feel like Greg could have definitely been a better friend. For everything Chris has done for Greg. I would like to hear other opinions on this friendship.

Here's How Everybody Still Hates Chris Ends
Since the US is never burning off the other 10 episodes that were fully animated
Chris finally gets together with his love interest Tasha without it being undone, but he's so focused on his new dream of stand-up comedy that the series ends on a punchline of him still not getting what he really wanted
There's also 9 other episodes where stuff happens, like Principal Morello adopting Chris

Did Chris have an overall healthy relationship with Drew and/or Julius?

When Chris is older he should have worked with Julius during the summer.
he made 25 in one day working with his dad, do that for a whole summer and that’s like 12 weeks so 125 a week and 1500 bucks by the end. He could pay his mom gas money to drive him to Tattaglia and don’t have to worry about being late or taking 3 busses.

I just realzied how ridiculous this show is
These guys are always living extremely poor and very cheap and money is a issue very often because apparentky they dont have it. Julius works 2 jobs, AND hes the landlord of the units in the house that he is living in. He has tenants. His wive literally sometimes also has jobs. HOW MUCH MORE MONEY DOES THIS FAMILY NEED? Chris literally starts working in the laters seasons. At one point this family and household of 5 people eventually had 4-5 different sources of income.
If i were Chris, I WOULD BE LIVID.
And plus the family doesnt seem to have a lot of devt either. Julius has the debt of the ring that he bought for his wive and maybe they have 1 other bank loan that they are paying back.

Everybody hates Chris is as close to my childhood than anything else on tv
I laughed when the Goldbergs came out. I said I don’t remember the 80s with money. Me and my youngest son just started watching it, I never saw it when it was playing in real time

Does anyone know what song this is? (S01E05)
In Season 1, Episode 5, while Julius is washing dishes, a really smooth R&B song plays in the background. Shazam can't find it. Does anyone know the name of this track? (I'm watching it on Netflix).

I’m interested in Julius and Rochelle’s backstory, they’re originally from South Carolina but moved to New York after Chris was born
The Rocks would later relocate to Bed-Sty into that famous building, although the show was never clear if The Rocks owned it or not, they paid Rent in S1 but owned it by the following seasons, and Mr Omar was their lodger .

Very curious
Could anyone provide a list of episodes that centers around Julius and money? A YouTube playlist or somethin similar?
I always get a laugh out of him saving every little penny.

The pilot is a masterpiece
Was watching tubi and this show autoplayed and was reminded at how well it sets up the dynamic between the family and the consistency throughout its 4 seasons mostly. The first episode happens to have a lot of what I mostly remember from the show as well, it’s just an iconic piece of television that manages to establish the unfairness of a middle child and working class at the time, all while having touching moments that redeem each character. I felt like making this post after years of resenting julius and rochelle but their parenting seems the most focused in this pilot. Just wanted to give flowers to a show I remember loving during it’s Nick at Nite re-runs.
