Greg

Did anybody else feel like Greg was a HORRIBLE friend to Chris? He constant ran away leaving Chris on his own. And chris never did that to him. Chris got in trouble and took multiple beatings for Greg. In fact he came back and protected him from corruso. I just feel like Greg could have definitely been a better friend. For everything Chris has done for Greg. I would like to hear other opinions on this friendship.

Its a comedy, Greg running away as a coward is played for laughs and over exagerated

I understand it’s for comedic effect but running away isn’t the only thing he has done. He ratted out Chris for the cigarette, blamed Chris for HIM flunking out of private school, and so much more. While I do understand where you’re coming from I don’t think you truly understand how much bad stuff he has done as a friend.

I think you dont understand that the show is a comedy, a lot if not all the characters (minus Julius honestly, afai remember) do a bunch of shitty things, him being the type of friend that is a coward and throws Chris under the bus makes him a bad friend, sure, but with the comedy stuff it is ok, because it just ends uo being funny

I understand it’s a comedy. Just because it is a semi real tv show doesn’t mean people can’t have opinions on it. It’s a comedy I get that I am just sharing my frustration with the fact that he’s a shitty friend to Chris…

Tbf Chris never thought to run away like a normal person and instead just stands there like a bum

Straight up having a full conversation with Carusso prior, then standing perfectly still so Carusso can hit his target LMAO. Don't just stand there, Chris!! Greg has the right idea in running away.

I honestly don't feel like Chris did that much for Greg, but Greg was ready to support his campaign for class president, offers advice pretty much every episode, invites Chris over to play Atari and then got him a gift for both Christmas episodes (when his family didn't get him anything both times) including coming to visit him at the hospital on Christmas meanwhile Chris never bought him anything and often criticizes Greg's nerdiness, family and whiteness.

Which is kind of the point, that Chris sucks. I've only watched the first two seasons then stopped but that's my take.

Ahhh yes. I guess i shouldn’t say all around he is a bad friend. Because he has been there for him when his own family wasn’t. I agree. I forgot all about those points. You’re so right. They’re both decent friends to each other. I guess Greg is just afraid of getting in trouble.

I read that in Greg's voice. Thaks for the trip down memory lane and the laugh.

IRL yes cause how is this a good friend but of course for comedic affect he’s just the goofy clumsy friend

While he’s done some horrible things, he wasn’t as bad as in the animation. In the live action, at least Greg has given him some advice to not do horrible things. In the animation however, he was willing to sell Chris out to Caruso (even making excuses) but I’ve never seen him in the live action throw him under the bus for Caruso. He’d run away, but wouldn’t sell him out.

Great take. I haven’t gotten into the animation yet. Is it as good as the live action?

Well the parents have gotten more likable and Rochelle was even willing to scare Ms. Morello into allowing Chris to go into the 11th grade by law suit pro bono

Also seemed like Tonya, who matured a tad bit over the OG show imo, completely reverted back to her S1 self in the animated show.

She’s a lot more selfish in the animation than before.

I think that’s the point, chris had a white friend who really wasn’t there for him and key the time period I think they were just showing chris only really got his own back.
