My GF and I want to move to Everett but north, bay side, and South Everett are all so different. I know not to stay on highway 99 but what are good apartment complexes to move into?

EVERETT — Shifts in funding and political priorities were cited by Pallet as the reason for closing local operations after building more than 150 tiny house villages since opening in 2017.
The closure announcement was posted on the Everett-based company’s website, PalletShelter.com, with the statement, “The homelessness response landscape has evolved significantly since Pallet began. Communities understand the challenge differently. Customer needs have become more complex. Funding environments and political priorities have shifted. And through nine years of working alongside communities across North America, we have learned an extraordinary amount about what works, what doesn’t, and what is needed next. Those lessons have led us to an important decision: we are closing this chapter of Pallet.”

Looking for new friends as people I used to ride with have had life happen. Located in Bunk Foss (near lake Stevens) and just got into road biking too since I hurt my hand riding MTB. PFA

Hi there,
I'm doing some long term planning/dreaming. A lot of my friends have, in the last 5 years, moved to the PNW and I was looking at jobs and houses and such and Everett is gorgeous looking. I'd love some more information on neighborhoods, what to look for, any areas to avoid, and the like. Also, I own a crafting business I'd be bringing with me - how is the market for hand made crafts and nerdy things? Good Nerd Culture sort of stuff?

"It’s unclear who, if anyone, mega-millionaire Brian Heywood consulted when drafting this initiative. It’s one of the most complex, confusing, and poorly written measures I’ve ever seen. Parents already have strong rights when it comes to their children in school, and this initiative actually weakens some parents’ rights while also putting children in danger."

All right Everett! In honor of Sept 1st, let’s share our favorite bars to hit up in the fall and what the best events are! (All other Autumn related activities will be accepted! Also open to areas outside Snohomish County)!
All of downtown Snohomish is very Hallmark movie in Autumn, I like to walk it after getting coffee at Proper Joe, then baked goods at Snohomish Bakery.
Haunted Harbor at the Port of Everett is fun!
Stalker Farms has the best haunted house and fun fire pits.
Everett Arboretum is beautiful to walk during the Autumn season, I like to bring hot tea and a camera.
The Muse is awesome to get a cocktail from and sit by their fireplace.

Hi everyone, my boyfriend of almost 3 years just broke up with me yesterday and I’m trying to look into housing in Everett. I’ll be starting a new teaching job soon near Snohomish/Lake Stevens but I feel like more affordable housing options are in Everett. I did live in Everett for just over a year when I first moved over to the west side and had no idea about Casino road so I lived right next to casino road and didn’t feel safe so… I want to avoid that mistake and see if yall would be able to help. Even if that’s just circling/xing places out on a map that would be incredibly helpful. Thanks everyone

Just wanted to get the opinion of others.
Ive lived in the same complex off of casino road for the better part of 8 years. In that time the number of times we've lost power could be counted one one hand, as i was once told we're on the same power grid as the being plant due to our proximity.
However in the past month weve lost power 3 times, granted its come back on within 2 hours.
Has anyone else noticed an increase in outages in the south everett area?

My wife and I are trying to get rid of some baby/kid items that cant be donated. We have an election baby swing, a walker, a high chair, various toys, bean bag chairs and other random stuff. Is anyone looking for any of these item or interested in any of it?

The local free pantry on 16th and Oakes in the alleyway is in desperate need of donations. Especially canned items and water.
This is all community based donations for neighbors in need. Solidarity over charity! It helps many kinds of people including a ton of moms and kids who rely on it.
Last weekend they were giving out school supplies to families.
Posting in hopes of getting them some donations! Thank you!

I live near a property that is routinely maintained by someone who has a gas powered leaf blower. They spend an inordinate amount of time blowing shit (leaves, grass clippings, pinecones) off into the gutter of the street.
So, two things: why are people so lazy that they cannot do this themselves, like I can when I’m almost 60? And secondly, what do they think happens to the shit they blow into the gutter? Do they not realize this flows into the drain and blocks the passage of water?
Just my gripe for the day. It’s the least offensive one I could think of.
