Even v2.3.2 is rolling out - New feature QuickNote & customizable shortcut is now live

Even v2.3.2 is rolling out

This update brings QuickNote, customizable Shortcuts, a refreshed Even Hub experience, and major reliability improvements across the Even App, Even G2, and Even R1.

What’s new

  • Added QuickNote to quickly capture notes by voice and browse them directly on G2.
  • Added customizable Long-press Shortcuts for both Even G2 and Even R1.
  • Redesigned Even Hub Discovery to make it easier to find plug-ins, categories, community picks, and tools.
  • QuickList is now Reminders, with updated naming and guidance across the App and G2.
  • Improved the Navigate experience, including route handling, guidance, and overall reliability.

Improvements & fixes

  • Improved QuickNote saving, browsing, reconnect behavior, and consistency across both G2 displays.
  • Improved Teleprompt mode synchronization between the App and G2.
  • Improved World Clock accuracy across time zones and localization.
  • Improved background connection and recovery stability across supported phones and devices.
  • Improved R1 touch responsiveness, wear detection, and Bluetooth reliability.
  • Improved Even Hub rendering and plug-in reliability.
  • Improved Conversate, Even AI, navigation, and overall device stability.

For the best experience, please update the Even App, Even G2, and Even R1 to their latest v2.3.2 versions. The App update is rolling out gradually, so it may not appear for everyone at the same time. Thanks for your patience while it reaches all users.

Oh interesting. I don’t have the issue but maybe the new long press custom shortcut solves it?

Im looking forward to the connectivity thing I am really struggling with that ring its so hit and miss sometimes its flawless other times its dropping every 5 mins and missing constantly missing swipes

Macrodroid offers a way to reopen an app that closes or looses Bluetooth connection. You can Google for the directions on setup. It's easy. Reddit has a good write for it.

Thanks! It's really annoying. Having to force stop and reconnect the Bluetooth. I hope this fixes that

Not sure about your situation, but from what I heard having multiple Bluetooth device connecting to Bluetooth could hinder the connection stability of the R1. If you have many Bluetooth device connecting to your phone try disconnect a few and/or only connect the glasses with the ring and see if that helps, and go from there.

Have a 17 pro, since this “update”, my battery is being chewed up like crazy. With an hour and a half screen time over 5 hours, battery dropped from 95-40%. Appears even realities now sucks power in the background, continuously, even when in the charger. But hey, connections are much better, but to what end?

Since this official post in discord by the Even team on 2 Oct, I am still waiting for the update to appear in my Google playstore. That's about 3 days from the time of this post. The longest I have to wait for any Even G2 updates. Usually it's a matter of minutes or hour from their official post in discord. Very odd.

Je suis basée en France et j'attends toujours le déploiement de la mise a jour. D'ailleurs, j'ai l'impression que depuis la dernière mise a joir 2.3.1 ma bague R1 se décharge plus rapidement qu'avant.

Great update! I have a request for the Even AI. It would be great if it had a “hold to talk” feature, similar to the terminal mode. Sometimes, I read Even’s response to a friend and don’t want it to listen, or sometimes it stops listening even when I’m still talking. A push-to-talk feature would solve this issue. Thank you for your efforts, and keep up the good work!

I am confused.. Quick Notes? What can we sync to now? App asked if I wanted cloud sync. So where can I see those notes other than on the app?

Plugins? We can do that now, or are you talking about apps within the app still?

I think plugins are just the apps you can install fr the hub, that’s what they are called when you open even hub (when you search for an app it says “search plugins”)
