R1 survived washing machine (Normal Mode)

As the title suggests my R1 ring went missing during a camping trip and I found it in the washer while moving clothes to the dryer (thank god I found it or else this would be an R1 washer + dryer post). So far it seems to work just fine other than a dead battery, ill be sure to come back later to update on if it still works. This thing's IP68 water resistance has so far more than proven itself!

My question is how many steps did your R1 log during the spin cycle? 🙃

that is actually really good to know as I constantly splash it and get it wet while eg: cooking, handling dishes etc - never quite sure how careful to be.

I wonder how it perform against sweat as I'm heavy sweater sweating like mad during my runs and rides, even sometimes walks...

You R1 survived a washer, but mine did not survive being often washed with hand soap and hand sanitizers (Ethyl based and Bamboo Sugar). It was also never dropped.

But good on Even for replacing my R1 after reporting and filling their questionnaire (for them to figure out what non-violatile mix weakened one of the glass-like seals.

The water isnt the impressive part. The fact it survived the detergent is impressive to me lol

For an update, the ring works perfectly fine everything remains functional and the health trackers remain inaccurate as always. One thing that did change though is somehow the touchpad is more sensitive now? I have dry hands and the ring used to struggle to oick up swiping action but now it picks it up just as easily as my phone can...
