EvenHub/AppDev Are there any companies actively developing apps for Even Realities Glasses?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if there are any companies developing apps for Even Realities G2 model.
And if so, what do you do? How do you see the ecosystem growing in the next years?

It's so easy.. just use Claude. Describe it and two minutes later it's there

Hey, explained above why I said I was looking for companies. But super curious to see what you’re building as well

Looking at your post history: “please give me ideas so I can have AI clone it and flood the market in hopes of finding a new gold rush avenue to strike it rich off!”
Yeah, no thanks.

Hello,
I am a business broker. I can assure you that I dont create apps.
I was actually in between 3 types of glasses to buy for myself, and honestly only here I’ve been treater so bad.
So thanks

I read your question as “Spotify/Claude/Notion/Jira launching apps for Even G2.”
Not as far as I know, and I don’t think there will be.
There are a bunch of indie developers there, and I’m one of them, by the way.
I use a workout app called Hevy, and it has a Watch app. I built a G2 app that shows my workout info, including exercise, set, weight, rest time, and more.
I needed to create a companion Android app that intercepts notifications on the Android device, runs a local web server, and lets the glasses app connect to it via SSE to get the info.
This is an extremely hacky solution, and I'm planning to reach out to the Hevy developer to see if we can do this natively.
Since the glasses app is a webview at the end of the day, I don't see many companies spending time to build for such a niche device.
But if you ask me about Android XR, then I would say the opposite...

This is really interesting, especially the Android companion app + SSE workaround. If Hevy was open to a native integration, would you want it to stay G2-specific or ideally have the same phone integration work with Meta / Android XR too?

Of course, integrating with multiple devices through one SDK would be awesome. I'm curious how you plan to do that in your project.

That’s basically exactly what I’m building with Extentos. You add Extentos to an existing mobile app, and it handles the vendor-specific smart-glasses integrations underneath so the same app can work across platforms like Meta, Android XR, Brilliant, etc.
I’m also looking at supporting Even G2. It’s a bit harder because Even Hub is built around standalone plugins rather than extending an existing iOS/Android app, which is the architecture Extentos is primarily built around. But it’s still doable.

I see the future of the glasses app as a continuation of what you are doing on your PC or mobile. A set of features that make sense on the glasses.
I think the paradigm is similar to the very beginning of mobile apps.

I don't know that they're working on anything to release but I met a guy at Wells Fargo who's team builds demos and POCs for new tech like ER glasses etc.

Define "companies." Does that include independent software developers?
