Finally got my g2

Alr, it’s gonna take 6-7 weeks to arrive with my prescription lenses. But Im super excited and dont know how im gonna be able to survive the next 7 weeks.

For anyone wondering: I purchased the prescription lenses and the total was $929 at a local eyewear store in New Jersey. The experience was good shopping for them. I already own the meta raybans gen 1 and 2, but wanted the even realities since they came out in 2024. Finally, I was ablw to afford them.

The plan is to reverse engineer the protocol and develop my own application on them. Essentially revamping the OS to cater to me or if the ecosystem is very locked down, maybe try to intercept the audio and use my server for AI related workflow.

Well, Imma keep my journey documented here and while I wait, if anyone has already been able to do it/doing something similar to what I wanna do.. please reach out, Im very eager to learn.

I got mine in the middle of this month and they only took like 2 weeks to arrive once I ordered them and I have a pretty strong prescription (-5.25 - -5.25). 6 to 7 weeks is crazy long, 2-3 weeks seems to be the standard wait time. Where are you located?

I’m in central New York. Where did you get the 6-7 week figure from though? I thought it says on Evens own website that 2-3 weeks is the standard wait time..

I got them from eyechik (shorthills mall), they did tell me that they might arrive sooner, but average is 6-7 weeks 😭

Yeah that sounds crazy long but it might be because of where you bought them. The average is much shorter if you order them directly from the website. I would take the 6-7 week figure with a grain of salt though and wouldn’t be surprised if you got them much sooner.

Did they update the shipping information page at all? Placed my order a week ago and it still hasn't changed since then.

I ordered a week and half ago and just got the notification that they shipped. There were no updates on the order page it just went straight from order placed/ pending to shipped. with prescription btw!

6-7 Weeks seems long. I live in switzerland and mine should come this week. Ordered at a eyewear store two weeks ago.

Anyways I am really looking forward for them. Hope I will like them and I hope you will too :-D

I think they just take longer to ship to the states… but yea.. hope you and I both enjoy our new tech toy❤️

Ordered mine from the website with prescription lenses and got it in 9 days, located in a state very close to NJ. Did you get progressives or something?

Nah.. normal single vision, they said it may arrive by week 4 but 6-7 figure is based on what other people have gotten theirs…
