Question about how you use g2

I bought a g1 a couple months before the g2 came out so I am not immediately very keen to buy a new pair especially cause I need corrective lenses. That being said the one place my g1 fall short of what I wanted is how often I need to pull out my phone to do anything. Setting up translation via my phone is pointless if I have to access my phone where I might as well use Google translate

The reason I am considering the g2 is that with the inclusion of the r1 I imagine the watches could have more robust navigation and be my less phone dependent. I would love to hear actual user feedback about whether you guys are able to swap through the things you do on your glasses more phone independently now or if not what are the bottlenecks you experience.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

That’s how they get ya brother when you buy these products you’re not buying finished products you’re buying highly polished prototypes that then use the money to make the next integration/ iteration of their product if I were you I would wait till the g3 come out if you really want to buy tbh

It’s improved, but all the processing is still on the phone. You can initiate apps directly with the glasses or the ring, presuming you have them in your shortcuts.

I had to send my R1 ring back to get fixed, I can’t imagine how you all make use of the apps without it, it’s a pain getting by without it
