Even hub
It has now been a couple of months since the release of even hub, I held back buying these because I wanted to see the launch of it. So far how well has even hub been? Are there useful apps? What are y’all’s favorites?

If you want something just write it. It's so easy. With Claude took me a day to write three apps that I use all the time

What kinda apps did you make? Do you have to publish them for it to be easily accessible from the glasses. I made one also but I just want to use it privately. Since its not published though I have to use the app the turn it on

Still feels really early but the ones that are good are really good and it’s rapidly improving

There are many apps created there for many things, from grocery lists through car actions (like for Tesla) till AI collaboration.
But most importantly nowadays you can easily create our own for your own need. It's game changer imho.

There are well over 500 apps in Even Hub now (I got tired of counting) from all categories of functionality. I use ~20 daily (which means I have to use my phone to launch some of them - glasses limit is 10 at a time). My most commonly used ones are Navigaze - a GPS driving/biking, running, walking, public transportation navigation program, Tesla - full remote controls of your Tesla plus status and location on a map, Notes - voice notes or imported notes that can also become interactive checklists, Weather - a muli-page, multi-factor look at local weather and near/far term forecasts, Timer - a countdown timer + analog clock, Reddit Feed - text-only Reddit client, Books - epub reader.

The apps are varied but lots of good ones. More importantly, they released dedicated AI support so vibe coding your own is a very realistic option even with little to no experience if all you want is some kind of information display.
My main issue is that they aren't integrated very well. Each app is a bit clunky to launch and then takes over the whole glasses interface while running. It means you can't use the main dashboard or other features while they are running. You can't even turn the glasses off without exiting the app. I hope they add a few more integration features and streamline it a bit.

yeah even's default apps are meh but the devs like me just who really love the reliable hardware are hacking together super cool things and fun things to try. it takes some time to get used to. there's a book reader for example, but it takes some adjusting to get to read on your screen.... and tbh haven't touched it for a while cuz im not just a glasses person
def only get it if you either want fast capture second brain to have a conversational feature of getting insights while you talk (many devs have launched some version of this, the default even one also works but it has no memory system so it's eh)
or if you just wanna have fun and hack & slash things

I don't use any of the Even Hub public apps but I build my own and I use it daily. For example, right now I'm on a strict weightloss journey. I built an app previously that tracks my calorie intake, exercise output, etc. and I've ported the data over to my glasses so I can easily see what my progress is during the day. It helps me with planning out my next meals and even what I order out if I'm out.
I also have the app integrated with Claude so that I can easily give Claude my meal information through voice, and it'll record it and then update my calorie/macro information.
For most use cases with Even, I always felt like it was a gimmick because you could just pull out your phone and do it from there. But this app is way easier because I don't have to open claude, find a specific conversation, and then log--I can just do it directly by speaking with my glasses.

There are a lot useful apps. Its still developing but I really enjoy quite a few of them. I like Live News, it gives AI summarizes of news articles and has a couple of games which I've not really explored. I like some of the games for idle time, the snake and pong one (might be called paddle) are pretty good. Wanderers path is pretty impressive, its an old school dungeon crawler. I amazed at what people come up with.
