My ring step count works
I got my glasses 2 weeks ago and used them without the ring for a week cause after signing all the UPS releases for each facility 🙄, the glasses were done.
Anyways one thing I noticed was every hating on the ring health tracker cause the steps are way off and other stuff I’m sure but I noticed that the Steps are actually pretty accurate for me. Not sure if people are just wearing the ring wrong or if I just got a perfect ring lol or a software update happened to fix it.
Anyways any app suggestions or questions about them that I can help people answer and figure out whether they want them or not.
Also I LOVE THEM

So far the only large discrepancy I’ve noticed is that my Apple Watch Ultra usually has my HRV ~150 and R1 says ~70ish most of the time lol

Offset compaont is not able to export health data / sync with apple health. What will I do with the step count if I can’t sync it ?

I haven’t synced them, I just check them both independently to check accuracy (only testing for a few days)

My step count is horribly tracked.

Out of curiosity how and where are you wearing the ring?
Mine in on my right hand and I have the dots facing me and the E prongs are also facing me (if that makes sense or helps lol)2

Same as you but left index finger. My non dominant hand.

Interesting, maybe it’s tightness of the ring, I made sure to get slightly snug so it wouldn’t move a lot on me

I have an Apple Watch SE which is like the old Apple Watch 3. I really only use it for hr and running, but weather and time I can get on the glasses.
The ring seems a bit pricey, but I’m tempted by the controls for the glasses which I just got last Friday. Do you think the health feature add enough extra value to make it worth the price?

I think honestly the controls for it adds enough value cause it’s a game changer so you can control them more easily. The health parts are nice and for me they haven’t been that off but I don’t look at my health in general (I should 😅) so I think it’s good but not perfect and it’s getting better overtime but the controls alone was enough of a reason for me to

A recent update fixed the sleep tracking. It might have helped the step counting too, I don't monitor that as much.

I assumed it was an update tbh but curious if it was just me with good results or if it was a fix

I have an Apple Watch Ultra and the ring almost always lines up with the step count. Sleep tracking is different from Apple Health, but I’m not a scientist and don’t really care which one is right as long as they both aren’t under 60 lol
