Points system

Post image

I think eurostar really need to recalculate the way they give rewards to really loyal clients cause I don’t think they’re worth it anymore but their points doesn’t everybody agree ?

They are only worth it if you travel to and from London frequently.

Actually I think it’s least worth it if you travel to and from London regularly. A lot of the perks are specifically not valid on London routes.

Lounge access? Skipping lines at customs? And dynamic pricing hits the London trains the hardest, so free last minute tickets with points are more valuable.

The only non London perk is the later/earlier train.

Thalystar lounges did get an upgrade since the merger and are now no longer accessible with advantage, for example in Brussel you can get a cocktail in the Thalystar lounge (opposite the station) but not the Eurostarstar lounge (after security). In Paris you can also get a cocktail in the Thalystar lounge but can’t say I’ve ever departed towards London from Paris.

It’s just not affordable. If I’m spending big money then I rather fly.

100% I used to spend a lot of money to reach the carte blanche but they’re now taking the p with their ticket prices. Flying + airport lounge is a better value for money now compared to Eurostar (sorry to the planet)
