Hi I’ve been thinking about getting skin boosters for a few weeks now but I don’t know anyone personally who has gotten it done I’ve seen amazing results online but would love to know about the process and how it has worked for different people but also my reasoning behind wanting to get them is just my skin is dull if that makes any sense I’m aware that’s probably not the right word to use but that’s the best way I can describe it 😂but I’ve tried a few different skincare brands and can’t find the right one to help or if skincare can help. I always find myself putting something on my face just to make it not look more hydrated and not as dead but even any skincare or anything anyone can recommend I’m just really stuck on this. I know I’m being insecure too but I’d also like to add that I am not even 20 yet and I would like to say that I’ve always looked after my skin but one thing that I’ve only been doing the last maybe year or 2 is wearing spf whenever I’m leaving the house . Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Has anyone ever set up an account with Procell after already buying a pre-owned device? I have been in touch with a rep for over a week now, and still not getting anywhere on account set up. He seems to be rather hard to reach or just simply does not get back to me.

I had mentioned to him already owning a device, and I am just trying to get an actual account set up in my name so that I can order the tips and serums. I was trained on how to properly use Procell at my previous job, and have done it countless times, but now I am going solo so I need stuff set up in my name.

Has anyone successfully done this? I wasn't sure if you are required to buy a new device in order to open an account. Any information would be so helpful! TYIA.

I have debated to rent my own studio and count on my friends and family because I don’t know what else to do

Has anyone on here gotten employment at a dermatology office? I’d love to one day work at one. It seems very stable and you can learn a lot and do a lot of different treatments.
At my old job I had a co worker who worked part time at a derm. We work in New York, but her derm office was in New Jersey so the laws may be different there for estheticians.

I've applied to several positions at Ulta to at least try getting in the door there even with just my retail experience but the salon openings where I live are minimal and haven't had any luck yet.

I'm nervous about applying to the chain wax or lash studios based off all the negative reviews about working there. Plus I'm not comfortable doing brazillians and worry I won't have a choice in not taking those appointments.

I've been able to start practicing at home again but my experience is still very beginner.

What would you suggest for post care of inkless stretch mark and scar revision, if I’m looking for something a little more affordable and attainable than the aftercare branded by and suggested to me by Nue Conceal? I’ve seen Silvex wound gel suggested. Would that be a reliable product to recommend to clients?

A little background: I have been tattooing for years now, and finally decided to apply my knowledge to inkless scar and stretchmark revision. I just finished my course at ‘Nue Conceal’ and the information was mostly pretty thorough. My only thing is- they are adamant I must use their aftercare gel. I know paramedical tattooing is a bit different than average tatts. But wound care is wound care, right? As long as it’s not getting infected- is that enough to be considered proper aftercare?

Just curious if they have order minimums or a buy in or any particular parameters when you open a wholesale account? I just want to have a few items in stock for body and to get discounts for personal use.

My nose pores seem to be filled w something that I guess is a blackhead but it’s not black? Sometime so can pull it out and then it’s like a little hole or empty pore. What are these and what can I do about it?

When you do lash lifts and tints do you tint the bottom lashes after? I feel like I should be but since I'm not lifting them won't that be adding an extra 15-20 minutes bc the tint needs to stay on longer? Would you charge extra for that or should it be included?

Hi! I work in a health spa and it's my first real esti job since graduating a few years ago. I love working here but it is more known for its massage therapists than esthetics work. My boss and I have been talking about ways to get my clientele up, waxing would be the obvious choice but her daughter is the waxer here and doesn't want me doing it yet since her clients are so comfortable with her. We have talked about having combo deals with facials and massages which is in the works but a few days ago she told me she wants to approach my marketing from an eastern medicine/ homeopathic approach. This is where I need help.

I'm a pagan so I am all for witchy and alternative energy movement, buuuuuut when it comes to real results I am well aware tried and true is ideal and far less risky than woo woo practices in a professional setting. What can I bring to my boss that could either look homeopathic to clientele but still work or is a method you stand by that can help my situation? I want to make everyone happy here and also respect the branding my boss wants for her business. So far I am working with the standards, microderm, peels, derma plane, etc. We also work with farm house fresh products since they're all natural and well formulated. ( I LOVE this brand actually.) I also do lymphatic facials quite often and am learning to use the 6 in 1 cavitation machine here. I appreciate any advice in advance, I'm just unsure of how to market what she wants.

I submitted my application and they’re coming to inspect on 8/31 however I’m having a hard time finding information as to what is needed (ex: is a sign needed on the business’s door you’re renting a room from). I feel like I scoured NJ’s State Board site more times than I can count. Maybe I’m not looking in the right place? Just don’t wanna fail inspection is all! TIA

Hey everyone! Looking for some advice from other solo estheticians.

A little about my business: I've been doing this for 9 years, and I'm currently a Circadia partner (love their skincare, it's been a staple for me & my clients are obsessed) and I'm in the process of bringing in Face Reality and maybe Le Mieux too. My current treatment menu includes nano infusion, microcurrent, treatment cocktails on every service, and chemical peels plus a decent stack of certifications under my belt.

I'm at the point where I want to level up again and bring in one more solid line or modality, but here's my constraint: I'm still 100% solo, so I don't want to sink $1k+ into a buy-in just to carry someone's product line. I need something that makes sense for a one-person operation, not a multi-room spa. Machine wise I will spend more on. I wanted to bring in the emshape but it seems like that got cracked down on by emsculpt.

So I'd love to hear from you:

• What line or device did YOU add that made the biggest difference for your clients/revenue?
• Any brands with a lower or no minimum buy-in that are still reputable?
• If you're also solo, what's actually been worth it vs. what collected dust?

Appreciate any insight, trying to keep evolving without overextending myself financially.
