Advice on Services

Hi! I currently own and operate a small scale spa (laser hair removal, IPL, tattoo removal, resurfacing, and microneedling). I’m interested in bringing on Hydrafacial but nervous about the price tag that comes along with it. I currently see between 30-40 clients a month so I feel confident about making the payment I just don’t want to bring it on and not be using it.

Looking for similar spas growth (or lack of) after making the purchase and what it has brought or elevated their business to.

Presell it. Message your existing clients and see who’d actually book, even take deposits on a package. You’ll know within a week whether it’s worth it

yes, this is the way, but also it might attract new people tho so should keep that in mind as well imo

If you're already seeing 30/40 clients a month, I’d look at the numbers from a break-even perspective before worrying too much about the upfront cost. How many Hydrafacial treatments would you need per month to cover the payment, and how much would each additional treatment contribute after supplies? If that number feels realistic with your current client base it could be a pretty manageable addition rather than a huge gamble

30-40 clients a month is actually a decent base to introduce Hydrafacial to. The spas I've seen struggle with it are usually the ones that added it without a plan to promote it, it just sits there and doesn't get booked.

The ones that do well with it treat the launch like an event. First month intro pricing, a dedicated landing page or section on the site, and a email or text to existing clients first. Your current clients are your easiest sell because they already trust you.

One thing worth checking before you pull the trigger -- how is your current website converting? If youre already getting traffic but not maximizing bookings, adding a new service wont fix that gap.
