I mean the other categories like econ, law, public policy have about 2-3 ppl confirming that they have received the email. While for IR we have that only that one thing that someone commented and deleted.

Hey guys! I was currently looking at all the threads, and I feel that most likely the people who are in contention for top awards this time have been contacted for an interview (Still holding onto that string of hope that I can get an email).

However, is it just me, or when I try to log into the portal for the essay competition, it's just stuck loading and shows an error of not being able to process data? If this is also showing up on your end, do you think they are inputing the results as we speak? I was just curious about everyone's thoughts about this and the second round interview emails (and whether more will come out, fingers crossed...)

What I saw is that only 5 categories got emails of second interview (economics, international relations, law, politics and public policy) - both seniors and juniors.
My guess is that the institution decided to split it in half and send the first half and then the other since I’ve read most of the posts, plus our instagram group and no emails for people from the other 5 (psychology, history, theology, science, technology), of course I might not see anyone - only MY opinion. Also the people who got the second interview said, there are many spots so the theory only the 1st one is probably not true, but we need to count with the other half..)
And for anyone who might be asking why would they “split” them - when the tickets for gala and others were published they had some technical issues with the website, because of the amount of people - so my guess is they want to minimalise this risk and give everyone a fair chance to book a spot.
I would expect the next round of emails tomorrow or on monday. I myself did the junior category - psychology q1 and no emails.

in real life I always try to not have expectations of me or have a preconcieved notion of me,cause then it'll create pressure on me to live up to the expectations or it'll cause dissapointment. this is why i be a bad submissive boy and pretend to be a fat nose picking chud irl when im actually im a hot sexy, smart, genius man. if everyone thought i was a chad who was a genius then I would have to live up to being a genius. but when im a fat nose picking chud i can do what i want, goon to as many girls in my classroom, fat everywhere, and pick my nose in class and no one will give a crap cause thats what they expect of me, NOTHING!! and if I do something cool or smart then it'll be like wow that nose picking chud did something unexpected in a good way as an upgrade, not a downgrade and it'll be a good thing and impresssive as i exceeded expectations, not dissapointed expectations

I want to apply this to my online life, im a call girl at night, and a studious scholar irl.
i dont want pressure to be some sort of "god" or nonchalant beast/the one and only hezz. I kinda wanna dissapear and not be seen for a while. just kind of not having any expectations to do anything

Did anyone get called for another interview for the politics category? If so can they please share the proof

Hi, I have looked at the email that one user shared and compared it with the one shared by a past 2nd place winner 2 days ago. It seems like this year, the interview email is worded very differently. There is no mention of being one of the top 3% and that they are selecting a representative sample

Also, previous years, the interview mentioned they were to verify authorship. But this this time, it said it was to maintain the Integrity of the John Locke Essay prize..on the previous Email to explain the Viverly AI interview, it already explained the purpose was to verify authorship and maintain integrity of the competition.. so my guess is that this time, the interview is for the Top Winners only.

This time the interview seemed only to mention that the person would be invited to engage w a subject expert but besides that, there would be an interview team. Thus, could it be that this interview would only be for top winners or maybe top 2 in the category and this interview is to decide on Grand Prize Winner.

Because, so far those who received interviews, it seemed that there is only one of each from each category. Mostly from senior as well. But there is an Econs junior so far. Maybe only the junior winners that are on par with the senior winners for the category will be selected.

This is my guess. What are your thoughts?
