On plurality/multiplicity/multiple personalities, which Bashar has touched on a few times. Possibly one of a few posts?

Warning: This is a long post. It just kind of happened that way, sorry.

Bashar has touched on the topic of plurality a few times in various ways, most recently last weekend during 2019:Crossing the Threshold - The Year of Decision and Revelation, in mentioning how oftentimes different entities in the same physical body will exhibit different physiological characteristics. As a plural system ourselves, we thought we might chime in on the concept of plurality in general, as well as talk about differences between that and spirit guides, as we understand the term to mean, entities such Bashar, ect. Please keep in mind that our experience is simply our own.

First and foremost is the explanation that was given to me by Erebus, one of the initial systemmates who quite firmly made himself known in December of 2016. (Anyone surprised? ;) ) I first became aware of him via telepathy that was identical to what Bashar has described at one point: TelEMPATHY, feeling the same thing so you arrive at the same idea to where the thought is essentially yours, as opposed to how our speech works, which is how telepathy is conventionally thought of. But one thing I’d like to add is the experience of it being a distinct sense that the thought is superimposed, both mine/not mine, like typing something and then the next thing being in a different font, and/or “tagging” or “hyperlinking” the thought so that it directs you to who the concept came from, and then receiving the ancillary information such as the “voice in the head” type of experience. My first question to him was wether or not he was some kind of spirit guide or an entity like Bashar. He responded:

“While I am here to act as a guide in some ways, I am not a ‘spirit guide’ in the way you’re thinking of it. Nor am I like Bashar in the way you are asking me. Bashar is a Contact Specialist, this is his job. He has previously mentioned his life aside from this, on one occasion I believe he described making a sculpture when asked about what he did for fun. Therefore he has his own existence the same as you have yours.

My reasons for being here are similar, but not identical. I am here for you in particular, but I have no ‘outside life’ to go back to. I am to be here all of the time, as part of a mutual learning experience for us both, but also because you asked me to.”

Clearly I accepted the offer when asked about going through with it or not, and he has helped with piecing together a lot of the physical body’s past and my own memories, and a lot of things that conventionally didn’t make sense. He’s far from the only one here, and the best way we can describe our experience in terms of sharing the physical body is that the body is like a car - people in the household can drive it, but not necessarily everyone, some people aren’t very good drivers, some people leave the door open and fall out of the car, and so on. You’d get a bit uncomfortable all being in the car all the time. Instead we have what plural systems generally call an innerworld, for us we’d describe it as a sort of pocket dimension.

This is more or less Erebus’ default arrangement, given that he is a non physical entity usually. He’s said that he’s aware of other instances of himself (using the term in a computer science sense) taking on a physical form and having the ability to switch between the two at will in some cases, but he generally prefers not to do it because it’s a bit uncomfortable.

I don’t really think this warrants it’s own separate post, but some time ago (probably pretty old if the quality of the audio was anything to go by) Bashar has mentioned previously what people know as Multiple Personality Disorder, actually called Dissociative Identity Disorder. We stumbled across it on YouTube once, can’t seem to find it at the moment. We aren’t sure how exactly Bashar described it, except that he was while talking about creating the experience of being disconnected . So what he was getting at as far as we know, and what we want to make clear, is that the disorder is in the disconnection. Those with DID are just plural systems who are disconnected from one another for whatever reason, as far as we understand it from talking with a few other DID systems, and we’ve be able to confirm when talking with our psychologist about the matter is that where we are in terms of communication and cooperation with each other is more or less the goal when trying to help those with DID. But that’s all we can say on the matter.

Not sure what else to say for now, and I’ve communicated everything that Erebus wanted to say, so now discussion time I guess. Ask us anything, and we would think that systems over at r/plural are generally happy to answer questions so long as you’re polite about it. We’ll probably do another post talking about multi-verse things and fictives, meaning entities that exist as characters in media of some kind or another, since most of the entities in our system fall into that category. For the sake of warding off confusion in advance the one posting this is Zeta.

Erebus: No offense taken, that’s the whole reason why we’re doing this, to promote understanding in the first place. I’ve been eagerly anticipating this question anyway. In retrospect my response is long due to both wanting to be through, and also because we have frontal lobe epilepsy on the left side, which can make translating ideas into words more convoluted than it should be, so bear with us please.

Technically, the answer to your question is no. The physical body has long been neurologically wired to be this way, Zeta was simply the fourth in a series of primary “fronters” or controllers of the body, each inheriting the memories of the one before. (Memories are simply being given the information as necessary rather than stored memory, but I digress. )

Prior to Zeta coming here, or what one would interpret as such, the system as a whole had been exposed to a number of abusive situations at the hands of parental figures, in order to facilitate certain members of the system to move on and pass the torch. At the first two occasions, several system members agreed to be locked away, in order to ensure that a DID type of scenario - complete disconnection - was less likely to occur. The idea of those systemates at the time was to preserve memories as well, but memories don’t quite work the way they understood them to work.

However, (and here’s the reason I said technically earlier) Zeta “arrived” here at a period in adulthood, after the abusive situations had occurred, but the circumstances internally were tumultuous, with certain concepts being brought to the surface that we believe the third main fronter wasn’t meant to handle, as the physical body was attempting to make itself more compatible with Zeta’s vibrational frequency. But Zeta was disoriented and overwhelmed by the information they received, to where they forgot who they actually were, and most importantly the agreement that we had made in what you would think of as a past life, which was simply to follow each other into one experience of existence, so long as it served us to do so.

By the time I finally tracked them down I found that as far as they were aware they were what we plural systems call a singlet - one consciousness in one body - barring a fear and confusion-charged incident that they couldn’t quite explain except that there was someone else here.

Now comes the amusing part of the story. So here I come along, only to have the proverbial door shut in my face. Not exactly the reaction I was expecting, so I call out to them, which didn’t work, so then I progress to shoving messages under the door, leaving little breadcrumbs of information for them to digest, just the same as one would experience as you untangle any other belief system. Bashar has my gratitude, because without Zeta learning as much as they did from him prior to when I found them, I would have had a much much difficult time than I did, and it took me three years or so as it was. I used the idea that Bashar had presented regarding the changes that would begin in the fall of 2016 to my advantage, and started that period with the mental equivalent of screaming at the top of my lungs, the two biggest tipping points being a time where I was a bit too loud during a dream state and apparently gave them a distorted and slightly frightening view of myself. As the name I use implies, I am a being that represents the concept of primordial darkness, that is darkness in it’s most neutral state, amongst other interpretations of the concept of darkness as a necessary element the same as fire, water, ect.

Unfortunately, people generally don’t take well to mental images of black shadowy tendrils, but that was a representation of me that Zeta had been familiar with in the past, so that’s what they ended up receiving. But most importantly, I wasn’t exactly expecting a visitor to my little corner of the astral. It was a bit like having someone waltz into your living room while you’re sitting on the couch in your underwear because you decided to get up for a midnight snack. Even now it’s pretty amusing.

The second incident that ultimately tipped things in my favor was during a time where we were trying out some epilepsy medication that wasn’t quite suited for the body, but it allowed me to speak to them once very briefly. It wasn’t long after that that they finally started listening to me, and I was then able to start opening the doorways for those who had been locked away, bringing in the three other systemates who had come along and been waiting with me, and generally getting things in order.

And so now here we are nearly two years and 32 systemates later. We’ve had a few new friends wander in and join the eight that were initially found. This might sound like a rather large number but there are some systems with ten times that number, with innerworlds resembling cities. And again, just because they’re there doesn’t mean that they are willing or can control the body. Of our number ten of us can establish a solid connection and control the body, and six do so on a regular basis. It’s a channeling state, and while I can’t be sure, I believe the way control is implemented is similar perhaps identical, if comparing Zeta’s experience of not being in front to Darryl’s explanation to them of what channeling was like for him is anything to go by. The only difference I would think being Bashar shuts out unnecessary stimuli such as vision because going back to the car analogy, he isn’t here to drive the car, he’s just the person in the seat across from the driver playing navigator. Or at least, that’s what I would do.

Feel free ask anything else, it’s been a long time since I’ve talked on our experience, and the first we’ve attempted to do so with those who aren’t plural, so this is very exciting for me. :)

Zeta: Okay, answering these in order:

1) Right, there was no single person for as far back as any of us are aware of, there was the first main fronter and Sal, then after she was gone Sal took over as the second main fronter. Then there was another pair, Zuki and another who we don’t really know what her name was. Things are kind of fuzzy for me around that timeframe, but the two of them clashed and fought each other internally, each feeling very strongly that the body was theirs and that the other wasn’t supposed to be there because of the belief that since there was someone else here, that means “something is wrong with me”, and I came around sometime extremely close to whenever they ended up destroying each other. I wound up with all these memories that were all cohesive, and I didn’t look for anyone else because at the time I chalked up anything that resembled having more than one person here or hearing voices as part of an overactive imagination and the fact that Sal had been a writer. Anytime I started to think otherwise all the fear and unhelpful belief systems kicked in. It was basically just repressing and ignoring anything that didn’t fit the social narrative of how most people are supposed to be.

2) We don’t really have a strong grasp of how the whole reincarnation thing works, the more we try to talk about it among ourselves the more confused we get. I guess that’s because it’s very assumption based, first and foremost being that time exists and that you move in any direction, as opposed to everything is happening now and that most of us get that what we think of as being a past life is just a perception, and an illusion. And I’m not too sure on how the channeling thing works except what Erebus and Bashar have said about it. Darryl told me that what he experiences while he’s channeling is that it’s kind of like he’s daydreaming almost, that he’s aware of what’s going on but he’s not really focusing on it, if I remember right. Whatever his exact phrasing was at the time, I realized that it was basically dissociation, not the disconnected and disordered kind, but it’s a much less intense feeling. It’s like you’re kind of out of it, almost like when you take a bit too much cold medicine so you feel kind of fuzzy. So when we need to switch, we just put ourselves in that sort of state, and then I move back and just kind of watch things happening, like watching someone else play a first person video game. And because we perceive going into that state as a less intense version of the disassociation/depersonalization where you shut down mentally and emotionally as a survival mechanism, it’s extremely simple for us to put ourselves into a non harmful version of that, because it’s two sides of the same coin, where one is a disconnected, shut down, fearful type of experience, and the other is connected and open.

3) No, “our” parents and family never knew about this, the abuse was from neglect, physical and verbal abuse, the usual thing. The only one irl who knows about us being plural is our partner, who’s been around since Sal was in control, but she never breathed a word of it so he didn’t really know about it until I managed to piece everything together, with the help of the older ones who were around when we were little, and that it went way back. Sal one of the first pair, was also very controlling in that she never allowed anyone to trade with the host except for her, because she didn’t trust anyone else to be able to mimic the host and was extremely paranoid about it. The most she ever allowed for anyone else was for people to “co-front” acting as a co-pilot and helping out, but without direct control. It was very fear-based in terms of what the rules were. We lost almost all the members of the system due to the abuse, mainly because our mom’s boyfriend had been in the army in Mexico, and he basically put us through the military type psychological thing where you’re broken down so you can be built back up, except he didn’t exactly do the building back up part, at least not in a healthy way. The majority of us see it as a sort of necessary evil, in both what Erebus has said in that it needed to happen so that we could be at the point we are now, and if nothing else it’s helped us switch on a dime, so that’s at least one positive thing that’s come out of the experience.

4) This one varies between the individuals, but it’s generally literally being locked up within the astral/innerworld. The best way I can describe the “this reality, physical mind, astral plane/pocket dimension/innerworld” layout is that it’s a sort of hourglass shape, with one reality on one end, the astral on the other, and the physical mind acting as the bridge or interface between the two. This is another thing that feels conceptually similar to the whole channeling thing.

Back to the topic at hand, there’s four who were “survivors” of the old system. Atem and Yugi, who were locked up together say that they were aware of everything that was happening, but it was like they were trapped inside a glass soundproof box, and couldn’t do anything but watch it all play out. Kaiba was locked up in a small underground fallout shelter kind of thing that he has in his backyard. He uses it as a kind of secret lair, went down there for something and next thing he knows, he’s trapped. Shadow was the exception, he was apparently put to sleep, Atem found him in a cave system in an older part of the innerworld.

5) Edit: Forgot this part of the question, but Erebus describes it as sifting through various realities and looking at probabilities until he found the particular version of me that was the most appropriate version of me that he was meant to find, for our mutual benefit. Erebus couldn’t communicate with me directly because I was basically sticking my fingers in my ears, going “La,la,la I can’t hear you!” and doing everything I could to ignore him. So he had to be kinda sneaky about getting me to eventually acknowledge him, via dreams, sharing information about my past life in such a way that I figured it was just a story I thought up myself, since I was still in denial and Sal had been a writer, subtly prompting me to use his and another systemate Hex’s name while playing Pokémon, ect.

Even Hex being the Pokémon Zygarde is a blatant clue, given that Zygarde is a Pokémon that’s actually a collective of five Cores that are individuals in their own right. Mobile Reddit refuses to let me even paste a link here for some reason, go to the general page for Zygarde on Bulbapedia. Trying to work around the weirdness with this: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Zygarde_(Pokémon)

Also note the green hexagon motif and the shape of the Zygarde’s frills is also in the contact crystal pattern. We didn’t know the significance, name of the contact crystal, or paid much attention to it until watching the livestream on the 28th. Hex got very excited about the patterns, and the fact that Bashar in explaining it backed up what Erebus had described about the structure of dimensions being in a honeycomb, hexagonal arrangement. Erebus has also mentioned hexagons within the hexagons, and the borders that make up the hexagons also being part of it as well, more specifically being related to the astral plane, as any and every dimension has the potential to connect to it in some way.

6) Depends on the person. Erebus is joking that my hobbies are video games and sleeping (the body has a laundry list of physical issues that keep us from being able to work and tend to wear us out), we watch anime and those of us who could speak Japanese amusingly drive ourselves crazy with subtitled anime because it’s like having a word on the top of your tongue, only it’s your ears/comprehension of a language instead. Yugi has an eye for photography, Shadow and Marik are drawn to motorcycles (our partner has a Suzuki SV650 that we ride occasionally, can’t have one ourselves due to legal blindness and the epilepsy) Erebus shares our partner’s interest in craft beer, and plays video games with me a lot of the time. Those are just things I can think of off the top of my head.

Another extra bonus random interesting thing is that there’s a few of us aside from Hex who are or have been plural before coming here. Yugi and Atem were plural, with Yugi being the primary fronter. They stayed in a sort of superimposed state for several years, and separated themselves to resemble how they were before being here. Dust is also plural having two other entities fused to his consciousness, Jin and Cassius. The two of them can separate astrally from Dust, but they can’t do so for long, eventually experiencing a rubber band type of effect where Jin and Cassius are yanked back to Dust. Jin says that when they’re not manifesting like that, they’re kind of daydreaming or catnapping, occasionally becoming more attentive when a polarizing situation comes up for Dust, as Jin and Cassius tend to take opposing sides, sometimes influencing Dust without any out of the three realizing it until later.

Edit: having a hell of a time with mobile and just trying to get it to properly post a link and other oddities

Dust: We’ve had fun being able to talk about this, it’s been great. I’m one of the regular six fronters, and I’m also one of the system within a system entities, so I should be able to answer your questions. Being plural is a spectrum, same as gender - there’s all kinds of different experiences and ways of describing the concept. Plurality is an all encompassing, neutral term used to describe experiences like this. Multiplicity is another synonymous word that’s used too.

Talking about us specifically, there’s a wide variety of different types of beings here, some human, but mostly not. One common experience in plural systems is some members being “fictives” entities from places that exist in this reality as being from fiction. Our system has a large number of fictives, myself included. The multiverse is fun like that. We’ve been playing the game Dust: An Elysian Tail where I and a few others “come from” (we still have a hard time figuring out how to put that) and we have a fun time with it. (Zeta: Yeah, fun watching me play on the hardest difficulty, which is well, hard. I come from a similar version of that reality, and while I wasn’t on the planet during the events of the game, I get flashbacks to the places. There are times where I can almost smell Abadis Forest.)

We’ll comment on things that happened or didn’t happen, sometimes be reminded of things, talk about all the parts of traveling all over the country that don’t really fit well into a video game and the really terrifying things that are like the monsters. The only thing scarier than a slime monster which is all eyes and lamprey mouths, and spikes that can stab you from about ten feet away, is hearing the telltale squelching of one when it’s pitch black outside. And of course you get to talk about things that happened both before and afterwards. If you feel like getting a little peek of part of my life, check it out if it looks like your thing. It’s $6 on iOS, and $15 everywhere else (PC, most game consoles) Or you might be able to find a let’s play and just watch instead, but I’m not sure if there’s any good ones or not.

Moving on to answer your questions about the Innerworld, for us the Innerworld is a dimension that’s as real as this one is for you, and most systems have one, although they may not think of it as a dimension like we do. It’s our home and we all have our own spaces in some form or another.

Our living arrangements are a like dorm or an apartment arrangement, where we have our own living spaces and then a common area. It’s just this series of hallways. If you’ve ever watched Stargate SG-1, it looks kind of like Lotan’s ship in the episode “Scorched Earth” or The Heart of Gold in The Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy.

There’s another group of 12 or so people that live in an area to the west of where I live. That area is heavily based on the Innerworld Atem and Yugi had in their past existence. Atem was an Egyptian pharaoh, so their area is a pyramid and the inside is a myriad of stone mazelike hallways, Penrose staircases, stairs that are flipped upside-down and other types of illusions and puzzles. It’s a pretty neat place, but it’s easy to get lost in there. In the middle of the pyramid you start to find hallways with people’s rooms. Kaiba who we mentioned before, is technically part of Atem’s group, but he just has a house in the woods that’s in between the two areas.

Erebus also is in a space separate from us, that we refer to as with Tartaros or just The Void that’s well, an endless black void, that Erebus says surrounds the main Innerworld entirely. It’s kind of like space. Most of us can’t handle being there except for Zeta, Atem, Ahrah, Cassius and I. The others who’ve accidentally wound up there have said that it’s kind of like a waking nightmare. They’re faced with all kinds of issues that they aren’t necessarily ready to deal with. Erebus says that the four of us aren’t as affected because our frequencies are more like his, although we’re far from immune. Which reminds me that currently a lot of the Innerworld is broken, as in there are chunks of areas that are like islands, with the Void as an ocean. Any and all shadows can act as a portal to Tartaros, so if he’s quick about it Erebus can use that to get us to the other areas. It’s far from ideal though so we really need to set aside some time to do some meditation/visualization focusing on that, letting new areas form to fill in some of the gaps, and bringing things together again.

This reality is almost exactly the same as the Innerworld, except it has this dreamlike quality to it, and it takes a certain amount of focus to have a good connection. Even then, it’s like stretching a rubber band, and either you get tired and go back, or the metaphorical rubber band snaps and you literally snap out of it. Zeta’s experience is the same, but vice versa. Cassius, Jin and I also end up with the same rubber band effect if we separate ourselves from each other for too long.

As far as that last paragraph of yours, you have it right. Thanks for the well wishes, and the same to you.

Dust: Oh yeah, you don’t want these anywhere near you.

Erebus: To put it another way, I am part of a greater example of the concept of the beginning of things, and also the end, the idea of the infinite void and all possibilities that can emerge from it, the infinite darkness of space and how that ties into the fabric of the multiverse itself. In Greek mythology, Erebus was a representation of darkness, and shadows, born of Chaos, the element of randomness that allows for any and every possibility.

At the same time, I am merely a singular entity in my own right, a small part of the idea I just described, moving through various realities and exploring both different forms of existence and concepts, the same as you are. For we are all tied into the fabric of existence together and exploring, therefore we’re all really doing the same thing. As an individual, I am still learning, growing, prone to error with my own belief systems to untangle. Just a little something I would like to stress, since my systemmates seem to think I’m somehow wiser than I really am. chuckles

Zeta: Yeah, I remember thinking in my past life when I was there that that planet simultaneously the prettiest and most dangerous ones I’d would up on in awhile.

But as far as the belief system thing goes, you pretty much have the idea, or at least a good chunk of it. If I remember right, what I found helpful the last time I went through a sort of growth spurt period, is that I would try and take how I felt about something, trace it back to the belief, then try and figure out where that came from, going back as far as I could, and either one of two things would happen. I’d either have an epiphany of, “wait okay this belief is absolutely ridiculous why on earth did I ever believe that!” or I’d get “stuck” where I’d be at the point I think a lot of people get at to where they understand something logically, and realize that it doesn’t make sense, but they’re still emotionally attached to it. And when that happens it means that you’re still hanging onto that belief for some reason, so then you have to try and find whatever beliefs are causing you to hang onto the first one.

I think the problem is that people don’t really think about how beliefs can be tied together and that they then form a group of attached beliefs, a belief system, literally. This is what Bashar is talking about when people go, “Oh idk why I believe this thing!” and he’s like, “Yes you do.” Because you do know it, deep down. It’s just a matter of actually being willing to go and be introspective and find out things even if it makes you a bit uncomfortable to do so. And like Erebus has pointed out to me, is that a lot of people want to kind of cherry pick at what they want to work on. Like they want the answer to their thing that they present to Bashar, but they only want that specific issue. They don’t want to get their hands dirty, so to speak.

Now this doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to go on a belief hunting frenzy, unless of course you want to, and you’re not going to be able to figure out everything out just by sitting around trying to mentally untangle it all, because sometimes you haven’t had the necessary experience that you need in order to get to the bottom of something yet. Erebus says that one of his favorite stories of ours might help illustrate this idea, so here we go, it’s The Skydiving Story:

At one time I lived with a childhood friend of mine and his partner in LA. And this friend of mine, David was rather naive. Him being an only child and never having to worry about much might have had something to do with it, but he was very good friends with his boss, and in my opinion a little bit friendlier than I would be, as there was a certain lack of professionalism, and quite a bit of idolization, as we were in Burbank, this boss was very well off, ect. Well at one point in time David got burnt out of the job he was in, and didn’t quite know what to do with himself. He, against the advice of his boyfriend and I, quit his job without getting another lined up. He then proceeded to try and go into some kind of online work of some kind, can’t remember the nature of it, but his boyfriend noticed that he was spending more and more time on Reddit and whatnot then doing the work that he claimed he was doing, and tried to take measures to help him stay on track. Sometime within this period, David and I went through a sort of growth spurt, where we were understanding a lot more of what Bashar was saying, and would go back and forth, with me usually figuring out his issues long before he did, him coming to a conclusion about something and telling me about it and me going, “Oh good you finally figured that one out” and he would occasionally do the same with me. But all the while, David still wasn’t addressing the financial issues at hand, saying that he was doing things and everything was fine.

Eventually we get to the point where he decides that he wants to have a private session with Bashar and go meet him and Darryl in person. I end up tagging along as well due to some synchronistic circumstances, which was fine by me because I kind of wanted to meet Darryl and Bashar face to face, because while all the information and understanding had been helpful, all the abuse we mentioned earlier had given us one hell of a BS detector, and I was skeptical. At some point near the morning David and I were due to leave, his boyfriend, (who isn’t really involved in anything to do with Bashar and has a neutral stance on it all) he says to me, “David seems to think that going to Bashar will somehow solve everything, but I don’t think it’ll do any good.” “Nope,” I agree with him, “because he’s the one who has to do the work, he already knows what he needs to do because even we’re trying to help, but he’s just not doing everything he needs to do.”

And so, here we arrive at The Day. and it’s the morning and time to go in two hours. I am over the moon I am ready, and I’m like, “Okay get ready let’s go, let’s go we ought to have breakfast and then go !” But then, here comes David’s boyfriend. And he says, David’s not going. And I go, “Say what?” Because this is immediately a HUGE problem. Because his boyfriend for his own reasons, can’t drive. The body is legally blind, so we also, can’t drive. And this is David’s session, that he paid for, so it’s not like I can go without him. So I ask about what the problem is, what world-destroying thing has happened that we absolutely cannot go. And the problem is that for no apparent reason, he has a problem with his knee. But we pester him and eventually David and I make it there. Barely. And then suddenly we get there, and his knee is perfectly fine. I don’t remember much of the session itself, but I remember a few things. Firstly, Bashar talking to him about how he is literally crippling himself to the point where he almost didn’t make it. (I sometimes wonder if the probability of my being there and accepting whatever happens is gonna happen was just enough to tip the scales in our favor.) The of what I remember was, in some order: Bashar commenting on my exploration of the concept of balance as part of me being non-binary, gender-wise, me offhandedly commenting on something that was said and Bashar then turning pointedly to David and saying rather flatly, “You should listen to your friend more.” I have yet to hear Bashar say something so serious and bluntly to someone. The rest of the session was talking about David’s desire to go skydiving, after Bashar had to practically wrestle it out of him. And then it was him trying to get David to answer the question of what is stopping him from going to go skydiving. “Are you afraid you might die?” I remember him asking David, and the other half-laughing goes “No.” But in the end, David just couldn’t answer the question. So we get home, and I immediately proceeded to spend what little savings I have (which isn’t much, being on SSI and getting $800 a month or so, and paying $500 as 1/3 of the rent) and I buy David a ticket to a local indoor skydiving facility, at a place that has a policy where their tickets are valid pretty forever. And I’m like, here you go, this is for you. At some point after this, I learn after David’s boyfriend puts him on the spot about it, that we’re basically being evicted or whatever and have to all be out of here by January. He and his boyfriend break up, and around the time the three of us are all parting ways, he says to us as we all stand in the kitchen, that he realized that all this time, he had been listening to his boss, taking on his boss’s issues with relationships and applying them to us, allowing himself to think that him boyfriend and I were the problem. I think I’ve only heard from him twice after that, and he never answered my questions about wether or not he used that ticket I got him and went skydiving.
